Warning: Atlanta Defender Scam

Anyone considering buying a Defender in the US, should always check on D-90.com for background information. D-90.com is a NAS Defender focused Forum, and many of the members track most of the limited Defenders ever imported, through their sometimes multiple owners. Many of the members currently own multiple Defenders, or personnally know any Defender that comes to pass. As of this date, there is a scam going on, and since I'm also a member here, thought I would share for anyone interested that saw this as a potential acquisition opportunity. With the advent of the internet comes the ability for anyone, from anywhere to scam someone else...

Good read though, my personal scam story was the guys from the UK who all banded together and set up recon to catch some guy trying to buy a lap top and scam the guy out of payment. I wish I could find the link to the board I read it on, it was so classic, they were posting in real time from various places and mobile phones. In the end, I think they got the guy to pay taxes and fees for a "computer" made out of a binder and glued on buttons. IT was so cool to see them totaly screw this piece of garbage over.

I remember that one... A pretty brilliant scam. If you're a fan of hippy radio (NPR), This American Life had a great episode on guys who scam the Nigerian 419 scammers. You can listen to it online:
