I put some new Brakes on her. I discovered while sitting on a slight incline, when I pushed in the clutch, I did not roll backwards as expected. When I parked, I went around and felt for an abnormally warm or hot brake. Sure enough, the right front was dragging. I pulled the wheel did some quick diagnosis, and discovered the caliper was bad and would not release. Changing out the caliper was fairly easy and got it done in a snap.

Do you have Hill Start Assist?

Scored a set of Jeep Commander steel wheels, had them powder-coated flat white, just picked them up after having some 285/70r17 Cooper ST Maxx mounted. Spacers should be in today, ready to mount up this weekend!

small stuff...
Seat heaters (Check Corp) - mild pita since you have to disassemble the front half of the cab (seats, center console, dash)..
Canvas Seat covers on the way - maybe get them after the first of the year.. That was a quest..

trying to decide on what's next - Fridge i think.. which one is the question since currently i'm thinking about a manley orv trailer so that limits my choices due to usable height.

I will be doing things totally different this time with lessons I learned from my last one.

Trying out a new trailer, returning home with 1 ton of wood pellets to help heat my home. After putting them away, I had to crawl under the jeep to see where the exhaust leak is coming from. I'm tired of getting the PO138 code, even after changing the O2 sensors.

The trailer handles 2000lbs like a dream. It would only be better if I had electric brakes like my last trailer, but I hate the idea of having to get it inspected once a year. The only thing I did to it so far is to change the axle from a spring under to a spring over setup. The hubs have the same bolt pattern as the Jeep, so I can use old jeep P205-75-R15 tires on it. Right now it's (amazingly) still using the 12x4.80 trailer tires it came with.

This is better than my previous trailer (the modified M-101A2) because I can actually load a full ton and not have the trailer bottom down on the axle. The M-101 springs are only 3/4 ton, although they look much stronger, they are relatively weak. I need to haul a ton, 3/4 ton will not suffice.

Went for a drive... and almost ran out of gas. Filled it up... 77.4 litters later... But got some good pictures of a sunrise. I guess it's both good and bad that sunrise was at 10am. Good news is I could get up at a semi reasonable hour to get to the hill top (that was so thoughtfully plowed by my co-workers when we went up earlier in the week to replace some equipment). Bad news is it means daylight is kinda short for the next month or so...
