What did you do to your Expo Jeep today?

Great looking blinkers, can you provide a little more detail on what units you purchased and what you had to do with the wiring? Do they run with the head lights off? Silly question by the LED side markers in my bushwackers which tap into the front turns only blink with my head lights on.

They are United Pacific brand. I just snipped off the factory connector and wired in the 3 wire LED resistor (need these on a JK so you don't get a fast blink) that already had the 3 wire plug on it for the new lights. They work exactly like the factory lights did. Pretty simple.

Can you link what you're talking about? It jk you're referring to the vinyl coated poly tarps, which is what I have on my mind to use.

Do you know what weight is a good weight to use?

I do not know the name, nore the weight, but I'm pretty sure it is vinyl coated. It is for sure heavy duty, and UV treated. Here is a picture. The link you joined is in fact pretty good, but I was not able to find a goog close-up picture of the material.

I'm now going back to this place close to my home to get piece or material to make bags and other things like that.

I previously mentioned removing the "Wrangler" and "Unlimited" stickers...I think it looks better without those...

Today I installed a locking fuel door that I picked up from 4Wheel Parts this afternoon.

Put on the Smittybuilt custom rear seat covers today...still have some adjusting to do on the left one. My only regret is I did not remove the rear headrests first...probably should have done that, but have been putting it off and didn't think about it until the seat covers were already on and I started to put on the headrest covers. Oh well.

I installed a Blue Sea 50a circuit breaker under the hood, ran 8ga marine grade & loomed 12v+ cable to the rear where it was installed on a Blue Sea 6 fuse panel that is mounted to the side of my rear cargo box.

Used the power to run a couple of 12v plugs, a USB plug, a 12v water pump and eventually some camp lights. The drivers side plug is vertical so it won't interfere with the fridge slider once I build it.

On the passenger side I also installed 2 safety switches along with my 12v and USB plug (Comanche Scott gets the credit for realizing the plugs would fit). One switch powers the water pump, the other is the rear activation point for my camp lights and bumper mounted Rigids, the coiled wire is everything needed for the relay to run the lights.

All put back together

Was it hard to do? I just want the back section and have it about half the height to mount the fridge on top. I believe you are the only person that has a storage system with the Springtail sideracks.

Sorry for the delayed response.
It was really easy with the side racks installed.
Just bolted some aluminum angle pieces onto the side rack, then made a bracket near the tail gate for each side.
JCDriller has an awesome build thread on Wrangler Forum called Bruzer. He does a great job of showing how he made the cardboard template for the top.
He also has a lot of other cool mods, that are very well documented, so it's a great build to look at.
Also in the General topics area, there is a question on storage. Some really cool options guys have built, including a polycarbonate top with custom paint, and LED lighting below. That would be another great thread to look at.

Great work on the extra juice to the rear. That came out very clean!

I picked up a Garmin Dash Cam today and am liking it quite a bit. I had one on my motorbike when I lived overseas and wanted one for my Jeep as well. It came with a 4GB micro SD card, but I bought a 32GB card too. My plan is to use the 4GB card for everyday use (which will rewrite itself every 48 minutes when set on 1080p) and the 32GB card when I want to film trail rides.

It's mounted to the right of my rearview mirror at the moment. That spot will do for now, but I may move it later. Once I find a good spot for it, I'll wire it up so the power cord isn't dangling down...will give it a cleaner look.

I also bought a mount for my phone since that's what I use for GPS.

Yesterday I found the driver's side carpet a little damp and went leak-hunting. Found a nice rust spot behind the undercoating at the back of the left front wheel well, which turned out to be about a 1" x 2" hole once I was done cleaning it up. I sealed it up for now (gorilla taped the inside and then back-filled with RTV from the outside) so that I don't flood the interior if it rains in the next few days. I'll get it over to a local fab shop this week to have them look at it and get it taken care of.
