What did you do to your Expo Jeep today?

Aaaarrrgh!!!! Teraflex didn't put the shims in the box! Well, at least I got the hinge on and it is CRAZY sturdy. The spare carrier will just have to wait. :-/

I did mine a few weeks back; keep an eye on the unpainted area under the stock hinges. You're mounting aluminum on an unfinished steel panel....bi-metallic corrosion could become an issue if you have salt on the roads

Yeah, that concerned me. I'm going to throw some primer on the tailgate. The coating on the hinge should protect it somewhat too and keep it from being metal on metal.

Loaded her up for Niagara Overland's Canadian Frostbite Expedition next weekend. Expecting lows of -17*F!

Cool Deal Scott!:victory:

I replaced my pesky leaky Rear Pain Seal. Also, while taking a lunch break, I watch the "Dangerous Drives; Extreme Off-Road"! I never grow tired of that show!

:sombrero: I got pretty tired of loading/unloading all my recovery/tool/winch stuff every time I went out, so

I built a cargo platform, to store "stuff" outta sight-

Also highjack (lower left)

Had to remove the rear seats headrests and covering, but left the seatbelts, so passenger use is plausable !

I don't do "build" threads, but I used 1/2" plywood and HD powder coated hinges (LOWES)/w 6" turnbuckles (4)--see third pic and the two rear turnbuckles are shown as attached to the rear anchor loops-

By removing the stock rear cargo "well' cover, there's a lotta room for recovery /snatch straps/tools "stuff", I've got ropes/fluids/elec. jack/a QV 89 air compressor in the forward hatch and mobile winch-

Here's the other pic I took when attaching the black/grey carpet to the platform--I had to leaveit in the house, cause the garage gets to 40° F while it's been at "0"F at night here in the Northern nevada desert-and it's supposed to be abpve 65° for adhesive curing

Just measure twice and cut once !

Got the cargo "hoops" from Harbor Freight and the rest from LOWES, including the schedule 40 1-1/2" pipe/caps for the supports-

Good luck

Yep as my dad once said..."damn, cut it off twice and it's still too short! "
