I got my trailer finally accepted by the California DMV. Installed my Max Coupler and Primus IQ brake controller. I'm ready for Father's Day!! Heading to Big Bear with 3 generations of my family. Should be great :ylsmoke:

What problems did the DMV give you? I was surprised how easy it was to get mine registered.

Well it was more of the issue of the out of state purchase and the builder (Sierra 4x4) didn't do the appropriate paperwork. All done now though. Also, the DMV waits are horrible in SoCal.

DMV in Banning is pretty quick if you make an appointment, I was in and out in less than an hour, even had the trailer inspected and number assigned.

I pulled the ARB slider out today, I think I can make them and get the price reasonable. I bought this one a year ago from 4 wheel parts, it was 179.00, now the same exact slider is 400.00 bucks. will see where I get on this.

I think I need a bigger truck!
Paid for my CVT RTT (Mt Hood 4 person) and Lid yesterday...very stoked. Lid is 99% completed, just some light skimming with glazing putty here and there and a coat of finish (or two). Mt Hood is in a box awaiting lid completion... going to build the enclosed portable garage (tent) today and get to work on the tub!!

Also picked up a custom nose box made for the CDN m101 from a guy in the interior. He dropped it off at a friends in Vancouver (thanks Ross and Darcey). Very stoked on these developments!!

Primed, a couple more coats of high build to go and it is ready for pickup.

Wired the trailer with 12 12 volt connections, fridge, water pump, front interior lights, rear interior lights, out door lites, 12 volt plugs front and rear, side 12 volt for tent addition. 5 110 wiring set ups for TV, AC, Fridge, tow outdoor and three interior plugs, cut in doors, brought up under loom to connect to upper trailer wiring. Wire Wire Wire Wire, tired.

Hey Greg. Took your advice and went with the 31's for my CDN M101. They should be here next week. Taking mine to the metal fabricator this week also to get the lid built......Hopefully.

I am planning that on this build, any hints sir. Mine are vertical, will it work.

Yep, sure Bob.....in hindsight I would've sprayed prior to installing, then put the finish coat on once it's up. I used a brad nailer for the install, secured at the top and bottom, and a few in the center. I used silicone for an adhesive in the middle, with minimal fasteners, because it allows for a little more flex than say construction adhesive, that can dry hard.

I used a pine 8' long , pre packed product from Home Depot. http://www.homedepot.com/webapp/wcs...roductId=202075051&R=202075051#specifications

I liked it and was drawn to it because the back had relief grooves, that allow for cupping as it drys and ages, but it seemed to be very dry as it was. My guess is that it will bow a slight amount due to coats of finish (that could be prevented by coating/sealing both sides. It's super lightweight, a 1/4" thick, easy to handle, easy to cut, and looks good finished.

I think the real secret is to have someone cutting outside and handing you the boards, as you install them inside, as crawling in and out is real PITA. I left the product short at the top corners, as I used it for a wiring chase. I have trim cut that is 45 degree beveled on both sides (about 3" wide), and screwed in at an angle to cover the wiring. This was done to allow for future addition of any other wiring...or chasing down a problem with the existing.

In your case you have metal tubing (I had wood) for studs, so you have to run some 1/2"-3/4" stringers to fasten to. Thinking out loud...I would probably devise a template, for the separate walls and ceiling, that would allow you make up a panel, and set them inside, ready for installation prior to the roof or outside being closed up.

PM me if you need anymore help or assistance.

I finished welding in the verticals for the main tub and also the crossmembers in the bottom of the tube.

I also took it for a test drive just to see how it pulled and it pulled awesome! I could ask for it to have pulled any better.

I also started on the tub for the second trailer but I'll have to finish that tomorrow.
