What happened to Rangebrover's LC200 build?

Not sure why having more money than sense is now a bad thing? :)

Seriously, I've seen the truck in person and could not find much not to like. But the question at hand is what happened to his build thread?

He deleted his own thread. I asked why, and he replied that he wanted to take a lower profile with the truck on the web. I can respect that.

The comment "more money than sense" always makes me laugh, as invariably, the person making the comment has no money at all. So the guy with all the money is the dumb one, and the guy without any money has it all figured out. . . :snorkel:

Scott, I love when you get perturbed. I must agree.

You think that measly little 200 with a few aftermarket parts is $$ try buying an airplane. Seriously get over yourself. The guy has more $ than you do and likes to spend it on nice things. Get over yourself and your Silverado. A stock jeep flat fender could probably do just as well but why are we comparing apples to pomegranates?

Conjecture at it's finest.

Long time lurker here, just wanted to post to say that I don't get why people care so much about a crappy thread about a new Land Cruiser. I've met these guys in person and RangeBrover is an arrogant jerk who's only proven that he has more money than sense. Let's be serious here, who spends that kind of money on a truck, it's nowhere near capable, and still is only good for running the kids to the mall. My Silverado could do anything this new Toyota could in stock form.

Well, I'm another one of those idiots with a built up Land Cruiser 200... it's a not a rock crawler, but a comfy and capable rig that can get me and my family to pretty much anywhere I want, with little to no trouble. My other car is a 911(991) C4S, and I hear the same crap about my 911 from Corvette and Camaro owners. Maybe it's a Chevy small **ck thing?

News alert... most of us don't buy nice things to impress other people, but to reward ourselves for hard work in our chosen fields.

Sorry to offend, but felt I had to say something to stand up for Rangebrover. I've been in his shoes before... where I've attended off-road/expo events where I've been hazed by some members of the "built not bought" purist crowd. You know, the guys that ask how much you paid for a rig before they even ask you your name. Ah well, it takes all types I guess.

Eric keep building that 200, this is the internet who cares about some haters. The majority of the ************ bags who want to trash you are just bitter that they can't afford the entry cost of buying and building a 200. I haven't met one of these people in person but they seem to really enjoy playing armchair warrior.

ShiftChevrolet I do hope you come back to VOT and enjoy the event in your stock silverado, feel free to come join our party, but if it's too loud go camp on the other side of the field.

Just here...
Get over yourself and your Silverado.

You can easily spend as much on a Silverado as a 200 series so it is not all about the cost. I do not think that that was the complaint. Apparently it was decorum related.
