What happened with Basinranger?

Just looked in a bit more detail, and he deleted all of his threads on 1/1/11. Could be a New Years resolution to pull back from cyberspace?

I noticed the date also. I've never heard of a New Year's Resolution to erase one's presence on the net. Perhaps it is something new. I've only seen it happen on other forums when people get upset but I hadn't seen anything to suggest that happened. If he did it as a resolution, I'm really curious as to his rationale and whether it works out positively in the end.

I've only seen it happen on other forums when people get upset but I hadn't seen anything to suggest that happened.

Over the years i've seen a few active members vanish because they don't agree with whatever politics exist behind the scenes here. I have no idea what that may be as I'm not in the industry. Just a guy who likes my toys. :smiley_drive:

I emailed him on or about the 30th and asked him where he got his Alaskan cylinders. I hope I was not the cause of his deletion.

I enjoyed his build thread, it was one of my favorite campers on here.

I was going to link his build to another post and noticed they were gone.

My best guess is that he saw all of the builders that were going "Professional" and he is thinking of doing the same.

Futile New Years attempt to simplify my life... You know the story...

Squirrels just defeated my last brilliant attempt to keep them out of the bird feeder ("what if I turn the roof gutter into the ground & the hanging bracket into the hot lead...")

Had to move two two ongoing projects to find a third...

I cleaned up & edited my build thread to make it easier to get info out of - damn thing is long...and to reflect the experience using it in the field. I'll post it back up soon. Thanks for the kind words & sorry for the drama - Peter
