Yes it does not have the elocker but the 3rd member is stronger than the elocker 3rd, and you'd be amazed what it's possible to do with open diffs...it's kinda like having front suspension on your mountain bike and then going back to rigid. Really gets you practiced at picking and holding good lines, all sorts of things. I'm still running open...for now :sombrero:.

I have my rear locker engaged almost all the time off highway, if I'm in 4-low. My reasoning is that with a full spool locker (be that a Toyota e-locker, Air Locker, Lincoln locker) each axle will get exactly half the torque. An open diff always gives one wheel 100% of the torque. Obviously turning on pavement or slickrock requires opening the diff, but on dirt, mud, etc. I believe it's better to leave the rear locked all the time.Fat_Man said:No stranger to open diffs here.
