What is it about your truck that you like so much?

What makes you keep your truck instead of getting something else? What does yours have that you like so much that you won't get rid of it? Be sure to include a pic of your rig.

For me, mine is older, which makes it much more simple, but there are things that are starting to need repair/replacement which is to be expected. The SAS makes it very flexy, something that can't be replicated with any new 'Yota without doing another SAS. It's got a few dents and dings, so I am not afraid to get some stripes. It's plenty big for all of my gear and seats 4 so my family can ride along. The only downside is the power output of the 22RE.

So, what say you?

Well, mine is not nearly as cool as your rig, and not nearly as modded out yet, but I love my rig! What I love most... the 6cyl, the cruise control, and the added interior room, I'm sure there will be more when I get some more stuff done to it, but for now, those things are the best! My last truck had a 4cyl, 22re, and it was slow and lacked some serious power, and it didn't have cruise control, and I do a lot of driving on interstates since I'm in college(heading back home, camping trips, visiting friends).

Here she is,

Too many memories to say, the fact that is has a stick or lever for just about everything and the fact that it's been paid off since the day it left the dealership. Not to mention all the things we've seen together.

My rig always gets me there.... and building it has opened my eyes to new avenues of exploration, this forum, and the concept of driving there instead of walking there (hiker by nature!)

It's never let me down. Goes the direction I point it. Still looks pretty after a wash and scrub. My eyes stray often to other trucks, but in the end this one has lots left to give and I owe nothing on her.

I love that it's a highly capable trail rig and can take me far away from civilization (although never 100 miles from a McD's right?). The back is a perfect size for my Great Dane who goes everywhere with me.

The T100 has many similar characteristics and the same engine as the 3rd gen Taco's & 4Runners, (which I think is Toyota's best 6 cylinder produced to date), with a little more room inside, a larger 24 gallon gas tank, 4.30 gears from the factory, great ground clearance and the best non-electric bucket seats in the business.

They're plain looking and aftermarket support is nil, but it fits me well and it's unique. I'm 90K miles short of my 250K mile goal for this truck....

1. Paid for
2. Reliable
3. Built up the way I intend using it
4. Gets me where I need to go both for work and to play on weekends/trips
5. Great platform for an expedition/overlanding rig
6. It can haul both a four seater picnic table and a small wooden one :D

Seriously Corey, you need to get out and take a few more pics of your buggy. I have seen that one way too much! I won't even mention that your tires on both the truck and your bike are clean. What gives?

While I do love my truck. It is paid for and has been for years now.

I am at the 230'000 mile mark, it is getting tired. I would love to have a new one, but the economy has wrecked my business, I don't see a new one on the horizon anytime real soon....so I keep on fixin' what I have.

My part-time neighbor from Mexico keeps on teasing me with his new HiLux when he drives past...

1-Purchased new off the lot.
2-137,000 miles are all my miles.
3-Too much invested I just can't seem to let go.
4-I get FREE oil changes for the life of my vehicle from the dealer.
5-Its just me and the dog so I don't really need that much more room. Allthough I wish I had a doublecab.
