what size fuse?

I need to know what size fuse gos in my hella 55w fog lights. it uses the round fuses with the glass in them? (Yes I know this is a dumb question)

I would go with either a 15 amp or 20 amp. No larger.

It depends on what you mean by "size?"

If you're talking about current rating it depends on the wire gauge in the circuit, and each 55W lamp will take about 4-5 amps at 12 volts. Fuse it for the smallest wire in the circuit.

If you're talking about physical size and glass fuses, the only way to know is to measure the fuse holder. For example, a 1" fuse would be an 8AG; a 1.25" fuse would be a 3AG or 4AG. Those are the most commonly seen sizes.

amps = watts / volts

so

55w / 12v = 4.59 amps

or 2 Hellas need a 10amp fuse, or 12-15amp would be "safe"

thank you for the help! I didn't want to use to big of a fuse and mess some thing up. as always y'all have been very helpful
