A few new units out, a fun show, and the trip to boot!
Ok everyone... sorry that I have not posted anything in a while. Way busy lately!!
Below, here are a bunch of pictures. I am not going to label each one, because there's just too much to comment on, and that would be pretty boring for you'all.
But, I can tall you that right after we sent out the smallest fully self contained camper ever (the military box), we then sent out the biggest camper ever, for us, an 11' body, with full size cabover, side entrance dropped doorway, extra low profile for garage fit, hand made cherry cabinetry, DVD player, stereo, monitoring system, A/C, and much more. Unfortunately, we did not capture photos of this monster, but we do look forward to the customer sending some our way someday.
Then, we got ready for the Overland Expo 2012, made the trip, saw some great people, sold some units, and had an overall great time.... Thank you all for the warm reception, and great time down in AZ!!!!
Just modified this post, because something hit me that I forgot to mention.... One of the evenings at the EXPO we had a chance to meet a fellow custom product maker in the industry, and I was thoroughly humbled by the experience. I am speaking of Mario from AT (adventure trailers overland equipment). M is a TRUE ARTIST. He gave us a tour through a couple of his recent projects and some classics too, and I was BLOWN AWAY at the level of sophistication in the designs they knock out. Electrical, chemical, gas, structural, and art. Everything M does is top notch. So, for anyone who needs something high tech, precision, and custom, in the way of a vehicle mod, or trailer customization, if Phoenix Pop up is too booked up, I highly recommend looking up Mario at AT !!
Here are pictures of units we sent out before, after, and during the Expo, and some pix from the show.....
Before the show (RIGHT before the show, like hours before we start driving down), we installed this nice custom unit on 2005 Tundra Crew Cab. Lots of neet features, like a space and power to fit his own refrigerator and double "AT" fuel can holders.
On the way down, with our rented 5' bed Nissan Crew cab. PULSE SC self contained mini camper on the back.
Fun at the 2012 Overland Expo:
Then, we left at night, drove through the deserty stuff, and tried to make it to the four corners, we had never seen it.... little late:
Stayed in the most beatiful Southwestern Style Holiday Inn, at Cortez Colorado, then drove up through Gunnison, and Teluride.... Most picture perfect postcard country, ever!!
Once Cari and I got home, it's right back to work.... Sent out quite a few nice units to start their own adventures!
By the way, please know that we still only build about 20 - 30 custom units each year, between our 4 family/friend workers, and will never put a dent in the sales of our "big box" competitors. So, please come to Phoenix Pop up when you need something special, and feel free to pick up one of the dealer sold, other brand units, otherwise. We are not looking to take away any business from the big guys, just here to take care of you, when you need something specific and custom!
