which Odyssey batteries?

Hello everyone!
I'm getting ready to relocate my stock battery from the engine compartment to a box in the bed of my tacoma. While I'm at it I'm going to do the dual battery set-up. I want to run Odyssey's. Which one should I use for the main, and which would be a good one for the auxillary battery? Eventually I will have a winch, lights, fridge, and a couple misc plug-ins. Thank you for your help. I'm pretty new to the electrical/ dual battery idea

I have dual battery system now that I plan to upgrade in March. My plan is to install the Odyssey 1700 as the primary with an Odyssey 1200 as the secondary. We'll see if I can get it all to fit. :costumed-smiley-007

:iagree: i have that same set up in my Runner 1700 main a 1200 backup. Odessy's are damn near indestructable with the metal casing!!

You even have the same 2004 V8 4Runner as I do. :jumping: Do you have any pics of how you installed them?

Thanks for the replys! Why wouldn't you want one of the bigger batteries for the auxillary one? When lengthening all the stock wires that go to the origninal battery, should I buy all new wires the correct length, or is it fine to do something like butt splicing new lengths to the originals? (I will have to run both batteries from the bed of my truck) Thanks again!
