Which tire

Km2

The KM2 is an excellent tire. The road manners and off-road capability are better than anything I’ve ever run. They are quite quiet on road trips for the aggressive pattern. I’m on my second set of KM2 315’s with few complaints. The first set chunked a bit after heavy use; that is most common with any MT and rock crawling. I did notice the compound of the first set was a bit more rigid than the second set. The only failure was a sidewall while climbing a waterfall of jagged rocks. I’m pleased and will most likely buy another set. Rotate them often.

Hi Livaboard I installed the 255/85/16's BFG KM2's on my 4x4 van. Here is the write up:http://www.expeditionportal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=28066
I did a long trip through Wyoming , Montana the Dakotas and did some off roading in the Black hills befor heading home to Colorado. The tires are absolutly fantastic especially on the hiway. I like them more than ever. The problem for you may be that they are load range E. They seem very smooth for a load range E but I'm driving an E350 full size van that calls for that load range. It still may be the best tire for you but you need to understand that it is a heavy load range tire. It may make your ride stiffer. Some like that and enjoy the extra strength it offers but if you run very rocky and bumpy trails you may not. My experiance with stock suspended JK's is that they ride so smooth anyway that a stiffer tire would not be noticed.
Edit: If you want a good deal from a 4 wheel parts wholesaler near you call Steve @303-341-5337. Tell him Stump sent you and you need a smokin deal on tires. You can pick them up and have them installed at your local 4wp's store. I got mine installed and out the door for 844 and he said to tell my buddys to call him for a better price than advertised on tires. Of course shop around but he may be best.
