I've been a subscriber to NatGeo for a long long time, and in each magazine I am continuously disappointed by Canon's "How Canon See's Wildlife" advertizement. Your images are 100x better than what they actually print! Well done.

Here are a couple from Africa.

This monster was munchin' on parsley in our herb garden. A crazy thing, where the eyes would be, if you make it mad it shot out these tenticle horns out trying to sting whatever is touching it.

That is an Anise Swallowtail catapillar. Those things that stuck out when you tried touching it, were scent glands that let off an odor that smells alot like rotten bananas. Thats it defense...they do not sting. Catapillars with spikes or stiff hairs on them can sting. The monarchs and swallowtail catapillars have smooth skin and cannot sting, but let off a bad scent from those two pink to red colored glands that spring out over their heads to release the scent. Sorry I had to mention all that, I teach butterfly classes at the local Nature center, plus I tag and track Monarch butterflies also. So i know alot about moths and butterflies.

These are from a couple of trips to Yellowstone and the Tetons. More at http://www.momentsinnature.net

I spent two glorious days with this guy and his harem at Oxbow Bend in the Tetons.

Kind of interesting to get a grizzly bear and a bison in the same shot!

This was taken from about 300-400 yards away with a 400/2.8 and a 1.7x teleconverter.

Why can't they do this when there is enough light out for good pictures? :(

Cool, but now I fill bad for killing about 10-12 of them (all munching on our herbs). I'll just let them be for now on. We just moved and I've planted some perennial flowers and shrubs that attract butterflies. So if it means the caterpillars are going to munch on our parsley then so be it!
We've planted more butterfly t
