I'm super jealous of the RTT. I have always been interested in having an RTT but with my handicap it wouldn't be feasible for me to have one.

The sheer usability of your setup is going to be fantastic ! Hop in the truck and head for the mountains !

Haha thanks! I've heard that a couple times. I'm really loving having the truck I would drool over.

That's the basic idea. Keep it usable in everyday conditions while being a totally self contained camping vehicle. It's kind of a tall order in such a small truck, but I think it's working out rather well!

Okay so... The cold and winter blend has to be affecting my range. The weather dipped down to -5 recently, and my mileage went down to 10. The temp got to 16 today, and it's running 12. This truck hates the cold weather! Kind of wishing I didn't have the S/C engine. Would gladly trade the power for a less fussy powerplant.

I really hope the mileage improves with the weather change. It's seriously bumming me out. I can't seem to figure out why it's so bad right now. If it doesn't improve as much as I'd hope, I'll either have to shell out the big bucks for a larger tank or stop modding and save for a gen 2 :(

I seriously thought today, "You know, if they made this truck (crew cab, short box, 4x4) with the 4 cylinder, I'd be trying awfully hard to find one."

Sad thoughts.

Winter gas and cold temps kill mileage, I promise you it will come back up

The 4 cylinder seems like a good idea but in practice it won't do any better, has to work a lot harder

Is it possible to remove the supercharger and replace the intake plenum etc?

I'm not sure it's just an easy swap. The serpentine belt routing is totally different for one. I know of a couple people who asked about adding the supercharger to a NA engine, and they were told it's just simpler to buy a truck with the SC engine. I assume it would be equally difficult to go the other way.

I really do know it will get better, but it's just bumming me out.

But I will be looking at getting a bigger fuel tank.

It could be worse, we pay $5 a gallon routinely for gas here. ($1.30/L)

Love going to the US and getting gas for like $3.50 a gallon

I don't even bother calculating anymore, won't make it any better so when I need gas I fill it up and don't even think about it

I don't care much at all about the mileage. I just don't like the pitiful range. That's really the only reason I watch it. I'd love to average 16ish like Co-Opski does.
