WTB: 250 Duel-Sport

Well, I just got my endorsement and now I just need a beginner bike to gain some real world experience on. There is next to nothing here in Montana as far as used bikes are concerned. I'm in love with the KLX250s, but can only find new ones around here for about $4500. My budget is extremely tight and I don't want to buy new as a beginner. While in a perfect world I would go out and grab a KLX250s, right now I am not going to be picky and am just looking for something that will give me the needed experience.

I have searched ADV, here, and bikefinds, but not having much luck with anything local. Any leads would be greatly appreciated.

We have a 1976 Yamaha DT175C that my son bought for his first bike. We ordered some parts from a bike junkyard in Montana - I seem to recall they had a bunch of parts bikes and some used ones for sale...lemme find a link...
