Up for grabs is a meticulously maintained package of a 2018 Ford F250 Lariat paired with the XPCamper V2 and <32,000 miles. The combination of F250 Lariat and V2 offers reliability, luxury, and plenty of off-road capability. Asking $100,000

I acquired the V2 in 2018 from XPCamper. I lived in it full time for half a year through the winter ski season (Canada, Washington, California) and then spring mountain biking season (Arizona, Utah). Use was more sparingly after this due to life changes and we are unable to give it the use it deserves. It is now time for the V2 to go to an owner who will use it properly.

Truck & camper

Both the truck and the camper are in pristine condition with no rust, exposure to oceanic air, or prolonged stints in harsh elements.

The truck handles excellently -- the F250 is a fantastic platform and you basically have no idea you are driving a camper. You can drive comfortably at 70-80mph. There is plenty of power on tap up hills or accelerating, and braking is solid in any situation. It drives solidly. Suspension was redone with an extra leaf spring and airbags for leveling. The F250 is under rated payload when loaded.

In 2023, we put in new batteries and redid the water filtration unit. We also put in a new rear door from Nimbl in 2022 as well which is a great improvement in terms of weight and durability. Everything works great.

Nimbl Vehicles (XPCamper)
Nimbl took over XPCamper and they have been an absolute pleasure to work with on maintenance and troubleshooting -- either while traveling or in person in CA. That said, reliability of the unit has been excellent. https://www.nimblvehicles.com/xpcamper

The XPCamper V2 is the smaller version which is absolutely excellent. Here is an old review that I remember from when purchasing: https://www.exploringelements.com/xpcamper-v2-the-ultimate-overland-truck-camper/

Asking $100,000 -- a bargain vs replacement cost and no wait time (no need to miss the northern ski season or southern warm months). Truck dimensions: 21ft long, ~9.7ft height when closed. Very easy to drive. Truck is in indoor parking for the winter.

Specs

Truck is fully loaded.

  • 2018 black Ford F250 Lariat
  • 6.7L Turbo Diesel V8
  • 4WD with rear locker
  • Adaptive cruise, lane departure warning, blind spot warning, braking assist
  • LED headlights
  • Power folding mirrors. Power seats. Rain sensing wipers.
  • Cold/warm weather package -- heated and cooled seats. Remote start.
  • Power full glass moonroof. Lets in light, but the back half blocked by the camper when attached.
  • Rubber Weathertech floor mats front and rear
  • Running boards
  • Rear backup camera and back bumper sensors are working perfectly; attached to the flatbed
  • Storage in the center console and another compartment under the back seats that works for groceries or tools
  • Cab fits a full-size mountain bike and skis with the seats folded up
  • No accidents or damage; no smoking; no issues at all -- it’s a fantastic truck as a standalone
  • Odometer currently reads ~31k miles so call it <32k when you get it regardless of where you live.
  • Carmax offering ~$55k for the truck alone

Camper V2

  • The V2 is the smaller version of the original XPCamper with a pivot motorized up-down from the front of the truck. A queen bed. A small table. Diesel cooktop with two burners, heat, and hot water. There is an optional shower inside the truck which is included, but we never have used it, as well as a portable toilet but nothing is plumbed.
  • This is a great 1-2 person setup or perhaps 2 people and a small child given the ability for the table to turn into a small bed. We are comfortable as two people, it is very spacious. Interior height is ~6ft 5in, I believe. If somebody has exact dimensions I would be appreciative—I do not have interior schematics with exact dimensions.
  • ~30 amp PWM Solar controller – Plenty of power with solar -- I've never used onshore power.
  • Inverter with battery monitoring
  • Batteries are lead. We replaced the batteries in 2022, but at the time Nimbl couldn't get Lithium due to supply chain constraints. The truck also charges batteries while driving, or on demand with engine on and a switch flipped.
  • ~20 gallon water tank, with a water filtration system and a water bottle filler on the side for easy access
  • Three windows with mesh screens and blackout shades
  • Pull out table from the flatbed
  • Composite-like floor, easy to clean
  • 2 DC plugs and USB plug
  • Camper is ~1700lbs unloaded as per specs. I always figured in real use this meant 2500-3000 lbs. Truck has a 4000 payload from memory and is rated for 10k. This is why I went with the F250.
  • Flatbed includes the ARB air compressor
  • ARB differential breather kit
  • Suspension overhaul with an extra leaf spring plus airbags (for load leveling)
  • Webesto heater and stovetop -- the camper is absolutely fantastic in cold weather, includes a button for high-elevation mode
  • Mini fridge with small freezer
  • Skylight with blackout shades
  • Lots of storage in the interior and exterior (with locks), including additional 4" storage between the flatbed and the camper because the camper is slightly less wide than the F250 (or Tundra) width. I've never had any issue with weight handling or legals due to the platform choice.
  • It also has additional gas and water tanks attached between the cab and the camper, passthrough options for groceries/pantry, and more storage under the mattress and behind the seating area.
Known issues: The remote fobs to raise the camper are no longer working; they need to be re-paired to the actuator. I have tended to prefer to only carry the truck key and no fob just to have less electronics with me. The camper goes up/down using a switch on the side. I am sure Nimbl can work with you to re-pair the fob for easy, hands-free electronic opening.

Bump. Price drop. Happy to discuss pricing with interested buyers.

Additional details from requests that have come in.

Interior height is ~6ft5 I believe. I'm 6ft and it is very spacious. If somebody has exact dimensions I would be appreciative. I do not have interior schematics with exact dimensions.

Batteries are lead. We replaced the batteries about 12months ago, but at the time Nimbl couldn't get Lithium due to supply chain constraints. Plenty of power with solar -- I've never used onshore power. The truck also charges batteries while driving, or on demand with engine one and a switch flipped.

No accidents. None.
The only thing I'd add is the door to the camper somehow broke while driving over a massive railroad crossing at highway speeds. Nimbl replaced with a new custom door with better struts (the original is actually too heavy for the hardware Mark used and had been a problem in year one).

Questions:

(1) is the storage under the seat big enough for a portable toilet, like a wrappon ? (dimensions 15" wide, 20" deep, 16" high). How have you approached a toilet inside ?

(2) what is the width and length of the seat when made into a bed ?

thanks

1) yes. I have one and have stored it under the seat next to the diesel tank. There is a strap to secure it. I have one with the truck.

2) small. I'm traveling and do not have exact dimensions but would think of it for a child. Less than 6ft tall and shoulder width of most adult males.

How much solar is on it and also what is the total amp hours of the batteries?
How hard is it to popup?
Looks like a sick rig.
