Post 3, Fort Churchill weekend.
Fort Churchill was an unexpected surprise on our way to the automotive test center,
The test center, is in the middle of nowhere, and has all sorts of crazy rigs, from armored surburbans, hilux, humvee, APC, etc
Im sure I could of, but did not take any pictures. The road goes right through the middle of their facility. It was cool to see the weird stuff they have out there,
everyone from the military and contractors to GM test rigs out there,
Nevada Automotive Test Center has. 85% of every type of the World’s Terrain and all within a 150-mile radius. 6,200 acre Proving Ground - All-in-One Test Facility.

An Army post built in 1861, Fort Churchill helped guard the Pony Express route and acted as a base for hundreds of soldiers. Visitors today can walk designated trails to study the ruins and can camp, picnic and enjoy fishing and swimming in the Carson River.

NV has some great state parks, this one was a shinning example.
Lahoten Dam, was one we wanted to check out and the area around it. Made a great spot to stop for the dog to take a swim, and me to eat a candybar.
