I like that awning and screened in room!
Is that pic of the large map, mirrored from the Garmin?

Arb 2500x2500 and delux room...(solid walls and screen walls with full floor in one package!!)

Yeah the inreach uses earthmate app and i can mirror it via blue tooth to any device and it allows fastet text message ability and I can drop GPX routes in to the app and follow them on either a device or the inreach itself...

I was gonna get the spot X..but realised the inreach would save me from buying a GPS receiver for my iPad..and is WAY more functional...weather reports work super nice too!!

Amazing! I guess I'm behind the times..
So was I!! It wasn't cheap...but we have a need for it with all the kids and my crew. No one has a sat-com setup. And we get in places with no signal often.

Hope I never have to use it, glad it's here.

Well its been a busy couple weeks...ok..week...whew!!

We got momma her new to us Jetta GLI..think GTI sport only a sedan...leather...loaded..factory performance suspension and turbo 2.0....

And its fast..

Stoopit fast..

I threatened to take it to work so I could drive a fast car again..

Momma teased me and said no...

So

I ordered the TC 6 position tuner...muhahaha (more like toddler yelling *my fast toy*)

It came in today and I got it installed..the van ECU bolts wouldn't come loose so I had to pull it from the inside...what a night mare!! 10 min job took an hour..and I had to pull the driver seat outta the way (glad they are on quick disconnect spin bases)

Here's the review....my youngest son came with me (hes my garage buddy)

Tunes r stock ,50,75,100,140hp 75hp is supposed to be the economy tune..

50 hp took that little bit I wanted and gave it too me..she felt like it has 3:73 ratio not the 3:29 (highway gears so hills it slows down..)..bishop noticed no difference..

75hp..felt like the ecodiesel did after her tuner (which was 300hp..van is 240+75 is 310hp...makes sense)....bishop said it felt better...agrees it feels like the ecosiesel

100hp...well well...HELLOOOO....getting too dark to really enjoy that...but probably gonna be my setting when on the freeway in a hurry...Bishop held on and commented it was really fast and almost too fast for being a van...had to turn the light bar on so we could see where we were gonna be in a second..

140hp....
Mother
Of
GOD...

20-80 in about 1.5 seconds....bishops phone slid UP the chair and was under his butt and he howled with EXCITEMENT..I ran out of headlight/light bar and high beam..and just HELD ON FOR THE RIDE!!!!

The 140hp setting is too fast....I love it...

She does a pretty good puff of smoke on 140 when I put it to the floor...the turbo spools the engine gets QUIETER?? and she goes like a bat outta hell...

I did see an EGT of 1140 near the end of one 140 pull.....flat ground....so definitely no towing with that...other temps were about average or lower...but only a 8 mile run thru hilly 2 lane..

Well....21psi boost (no intercooler) is 7 higher than I had seen before..stock is 14psi 215hp and 425ft lbs..on the highest tune watching exhaust temps rise normally...450hp and a mild 850ft lbs!!!!

Jesus no wonder she's a ROCKET NOW!!!

Yes..this is using an obd2 reader and app..so it's not a dyno run...but boy its quick!!!

TS 6 position tuner...140hp setting

Puff of smoke on initial full throttle then a very light density grey smoke during acceleration...no rolling coal..

Headlight day!!

I gotta adjust them...they are so much brighter than stock sealed bulbs!!

The housings apparently are "BALLER" per my friends....

The high beams are lacking..but I may have the bulbs installed wrong..gotta check..

EBay ones..

I haven't gotten the alarm yet..we are leaving in the morning for 4 day in upper peninsula of Michigan and I didn't wanna do a quick install and have a wiring issue on a 1500 mile trip...

Same with Windows...I think I'm gonna order all new glass..its scratched pretty bad!

I did get the recovery gear all mounted!! The $20 hi-lift jack mount from tractor supply..works really well..the jack actually sits on the bumper so most of the weight is not on the brackets.

Which lights are those?

Did you ever go any further on the alarm and power windows?

Just had a super fun weekend driving all the way from Central Ohio to the upper peninsula my total mileage was 1550 and 23 hours I think of driving she never once gave us one bit of trouble we spent 2 nights camp on Lake Superior right at the water's edge and at some point on a trip up got tagged on a Facebook group and I'll attach that Meme below.

Other than not having fans inside cuz my old ones died everything work perfect I don't feel any need to put a water container inside probably slim down some of the tools that I carry but everything worked great could not have been happier I slept great the weather was perfect!#

Last night's adventure..Fun day off work!! I put the new fox 2.0 on over the weekend (Thomas CatzAuto) and discovered I needed to do an add a leaf to the Back...well I do tow..and with 5 kiddos (2 teenagers) she surely needed a bit of a boost so when we were loaded for camp and or hooked to the enclosed trailer we wouldn't damage the shiny new shocks..

F350 leaf pack with the eyes cut off (trust me on this a min)..it basically adds 2 main leafs for support and strength without messing up the ride..(I've done this 6 times now)

Went from one primary leaf..2 single leaf and a torque leaf (no axle wrap) to one primary leaf..another primary with eyes not on it..3 single leaf and a torque leaf..re used the stock u-bolts..

Gained 4 inches..stiffened up a mushy ride..and still pretty smooth vs harsh of a full f350 pack..

$50...
5 hours at home (my loving wife bailed me out when I was half way thru and realised I was out of cut off wheels..thanks babe!!)

Probably going to get the 880S progressive spring for the front to boost it 2in and improve the ride...didn't really wanna lift it..but oh well..

(5 in Gaines on driver side..35 gal fuel tank I think took its toll on the old pack)

Don't mind the half done wrap..had to wait on the windshield to get replaced and some stickers to come in..

Looks Good. Did you just disassemble the F350 springs and stack them in yours?
I'm looking at removing one of my leafs to drop it a it, smooth it out and then add the air bags I have.

Fishing is life. The rest is details.
Looks good, now you need wheels and tires! The wrap is going to be sweet too.

Did you ever make any progress with the high beams? You'd said they were lacking but you might have installed them wrong...

Yeah I need to change to LED..the HID just doesn't do high beam in these housings..I've oriented the bulb in every way with no luck.

I cheated and just ground the top of the pin bolt enough to fit in the main leaf spring hole..its easy enough to grind the nut off the pin and be prepared for the pack to pop apart..and then remove whichever you want and C clamp them back together..I like how it rides and need the extra leafs for adding 1500lbs of 5 kiddos and a wife to the van and all their luggage and camp gear. Thinking about the sway bar that was on the axle I popped the spring off of..the EB are just too long to not have dual sway bars!!
