Old skool....I've got blue to do the blades...gonna try one tomorrow...I'm so thrilled with how these will look..

These younger folks will have no idea what these rims were..gonna do black lugs and center caps.

Oh and I attached the idea photos too..

Spent the weekend getting the front Moog 880's Springs in the 2in shock extenders and the Caster camber adjustments in and tweaked..pretty darn close to PERFECT!!

Love the stance!! 2in in the front..4in in the rear!!

New springs ride so much better and the progressive rates really work amazing with the stock valving on the fox shocks!! I could have probably gotten it all done in 2 hours but I had to bend back my sway bar bracket when it was used as a tow point and I went slow and steady (tore my hernia mesh doing the rear springs so I'm taking things slow till I can get in for a fix)

Also spent some time playing around with the Drone...you really need a co-pilot.. I wrecked the drone twice and put the van in a ditch once..

Dronie (selfie drone shot..dji spark has cool pre-programmed stuff!!)

Auto follow and tapped the pass to left function (into tall grass and a tree..but she flew back to me and landed!!)

Auto follow me..elevation change messed with it..and watch till the end you see me slide the passenger side into a muddy ditch..(dumb move)

Wish I could have been there to help with the caster/camber sleeves. Tried them once and they didn't even look close. I put the old shims back in and aligned it with a string...
Two tire shops in town refused to align it with the adjustable shims....I think I finally found a shop that will and now I'm just waiting to a good time to do it.
I like the stance on you van!

Made sure the tires were perpendicular to the ground after rolling straight forward 200ft..(takes a while)

1/4in of toe out at the rims right by the tie rod (furthest forward point)

Then road test..does it pull or push..adjust the tie rods in or out..keep an eye on the perpendicular of the wheel..

About an hour of high speed road tests and adjustments.. Better than a tire shop does
.... I HATE ttb front ends..almost impossible to make them not eat tires or stay alighned..more weight they get more toe out and splay footed /_\..hard accelerations ans they get up on their tipy toes and ride the outside of the tire and more toe in....\_/

My 92 explorer had 17 in of travel..doing a tight turn under acceleration I could still lift the front inside tire a food off the ground..the outside tire on that design undercuts and shifts all the weight to the back springs.. Thus tippy..thus a possible roll over..

And yes..it was 100% predictable in the explorer..i could do it during exhibtion mud runs..

Sway bars are your friend!

Played with the Drone some today..no new updates other than I gotta put 2 new calipers and at least 1 new rotor on...only made noise for 4 days till i lost brake pressure...im always so good about keeping an eye on stuff and maintenance...

So, lets all agree I take care of my vehicles.. I probably spend TOO MUCH time playing with them..a month ago I put new shocks and lift springs on the back and 2 weeks ago on the front..i thought the weird vibration was my aggressive tires rounding back out after Ford's weird suspension turns them into saw blades..

Lost brake pressure tonight after one of Columbus panic stops because people are on their phones not watching the road...so I figure I popped a line..get home to this!!! Inner part of the brake rotor I have looked at numerous times in the last month is COMPLETELY GONE!!

I'm beginning to question the shop pictures that claim people dont pay attention to their vehicles..

Videos today

Auto follow mode

Found out you can move the drone around and it still follows

Cool auto pan

Spark Drone Pan and land.

the drone was telling me the battery was low and it wanted to return to home.(1/4 mile back It must know how much battery it uses and changes the auto return home battery setpoint. it still had 40%

Looked like a great rip!
Whats up with that rotor??
I didn't get a good pic from under the van in the previous update..apparently the caliper was sticking and only the inner was actually putting pressure on it..so it ate it up.

Quite scary. didn't you get any smoking or smell clues? My van did that last Friday. Smell and smoking when I stopped to check. I found out it is quite common on F250/350 (where my front axle comes from) as the plastic (phenolic) piston can deform. I never heard about the E-series rear brakes. Definitely worth checking.
