I am not aware of any LT kit that retains the sway bar, but I am sure you could have one modified/fabricated. I actually had mine off for a few months before I got T-Boned. Got to see it drive around yesterday, have more lift than I expected but it looks great. I have heavy springs 700Lb and Timbren bump stops so that should help the body roll a lot.

Do you know if CA state law requires motor vehicles be equipped with a roll stabilizer?

I have been thinking of taking mine off to see how it handles (OME 886's on a second gen with a Toytec spacer).

I am only hesitant to think if for some odd reason I got in an accident that resulted in a rollover (whether my fault or not), if I didnt have a sway stabilizer on the vehicle if I could be cited.

I am sure someone with experience on this will weigh in.......

Also, I am sure the setup you are running is more stable on the highway in a swerve emergency move than the average Ford Explorer. Not critiziing, just wonder in the back of my head if there is a law that requires some sort of sway stabilizer on an IFS vehicle?????????

Not using the Safari Snorkel, only the head. Had to custom fab one because the LT would have hit the original location. They routed it through the top of the fender.

Looks like its already going to good use!

Ahhhh interesting and good to know. Wild be curious to see it in detail

I've had my sway bar off for over a year. Love it. Much better offroad. Body roll is minimum with my 620lb coils so 700lb should be fine.

Saw the sway bar thread, lots of good info. I would just go with the general idea that any modification to your vehical could be "Illegal" in one way or another or in one state vs another... Think I am way past that point, I have had police come up before but its normally just to check out the truck haha, a few gave me their numbers so that I can call them when I go out wheeling. I feel my truck is "safer" than it was stock, other than being a little top heavy I try to keep everthing road legal. I think as long as it does not look jerry-rigged with parts falling off as you drive you should be fine.

Think I'll be happy with the 700Lbs, currenlty have a little of the California lift going on so I'll need to "update" the rear down the road. Even with the OME 882 I was sitting at stock height (ARB, Winch, Dual Batteries, Sliders, V6, Double Cab, heavy passengers).

I'll get some shots of how they did the snorkel when I get it back. I am mostly happy with how they did it but I think it will block my view a little more than the Safari did, but I should stand up to trees better lol

yea i was planning on 700 or 720lb coils. I have 620 Eibachs right now with a plate bumper and they are sagging a bit. Once a winch and skids go in there it'll be interesting to see how well it holds. I have dual batteries too..not a double cab though.

can't wait to see some shots of this beast.

Great googlie mooglie that turned out sweet! Giving me even more motivation for a little front end re-work and glass fenders.
