Oo what do you use for propane?? Was thinking about getting a 10gal tank myself.

I see your tank now..looks handy. Would be nice for a heat exchanger for a shower too!

D you just use Jerry cans for water? I'm trying to figure out a way to fit a nice tank but will always be in the sun. Considering putting it in the cab I guess.

I have a small tiny air compressor. It works. But it's back up for my co2. Probably get a second back up tank of that as well.

The boxes look nice. But I have a bed rack so I definitely want something good and weather resistant. I keep it all under a trap so I guess theses will work. Seem nice a big too and easy to get into?

Assuming your "extra backup" containers are full, you shouldn't store plastic water jugs directly on concrete.

Concrete emits something (I forget what) that gets absorbed into the plastic container and your water.

Put a piece of plywood or a couple of 2x4s under your water containers, and you will be fine.

Just have an 11Lb tank with some extra 1Lbs sitting around. A 5 Gal propane seems too big so I keep it at home. Currently just keep everything in Jerry cans, not sure if I want to do an Aux fuel or water tank... Had a small Walmart air pump until it caught fire filling one tire :Wow1: never going to rely on one like that again! The containers are great, right size, easy access and you can even sit on them if you don't weigh too much.

Tan ones on the ground are empty, the blue one with water is elevated on the wood shelf. But thanks for the concern :ylsmoke: I have seen too many people do that.

I also keep everything dated and rotate the water and fuel every six moths if not used.

Do you use an additive in your fuel? If not you should. I've heard this poor quality gas starts breaking down almost immediate with no additives. Just food for thought.

Top right, between the railings :) and I actually put premium in them expecting I would have a supercharger by the time I use the gas, not sure that is going to happen.. :( but the gas should be good for a year.

I run a full can of Chemtool b12 for each 5gal can. 1pt treats 28 gl so 1pt for 5 I would say is good.

I am bored without my truck, it has been in an undisclosed location for about a week getting some lunar mist. I was told it would be ready by tomorrow but in shop time that means next week.

So I thought I would post "some" of my gear/load-out that I normally have on trips. I am fine with any critiques, as I normally do have the kitchen sink.

Yes you do! I have not been able to sit down for a few months! Haha, it could become one of those famous ExPo chairs that makes its way around to different people. But it's made in China and not out of hand crafted wood lol might have my truck back tonight so I should be able to tag along on the next trip and get my chair.

I would be really interested in seeing your mounting setup on the camper shell as I have the exact same setup(02 4 door with snugtop) and am looking at mounting a basket/RTT in the future possibly. If you could get some pics of the rails/towers or have any parts #'s I would greatly appreciate it! Hope you get this thing back on the road again soon!!

Not using the Safari Snorkel, only the head. Had to custom fab one because the LT would have hit the original location. They routed it through the top of the fender.

Thanks for the inspiration!
Looks like its already going to good use!
