This is a TM-D700A I put in a pelican case for our Search & Rescue Team. It has a power supply and battery. The face plate has connections for 110V, 12V in & out, Microphone, PC, GPS, Headphones and fuses.
I have 4 HID lights in the center of my roof rack and I solved the hood glare with a fold down cover. The cover protects and keeps the lights clean for use.

Sorry for the late response. I used 1 1/4" tubing and polyurethane shackle bushings from an early Jeep CJ to make the arms. I welded a short piece of 1 1/2" tubing to the side of my center console which is made of 10 gage steel. I drilled 2 holes and welded 2 nuts to allow the vertical arm to be...
My Jeepster weights 5800lb I weighed it to have Alcan make springs to handle the weight. I have had Dana 44's front and back for years. The front has worked great with little modification. The rear has been a different story. I started with a Dana 44 from 89 Jeep Grand Wagoneer and it seems the...
It helps that the Jeep is a Jeepster with no back seat. The down side is my Jeepster is pushing 6000lbs.
You are right it takes time to build a good list, I always have a note pad with me and add or delete items from my list after each trip.
Great start for an Overlanding Checklist.
It made me review my list and make some a few adjustments. My list seems long but I still use an old Jeep and carry enough equipment for up to 30 days of a solo Overlanding trip. Here is a link to my list:

We do very little base camping so the trailer goes with us most of the time. Most trips we have a different place to spend the night planed. The few times we have left the trailer every thing can be locked and we have not had any problems.
Fuel and Propane Storage
I have most items stored in lockable compartments. Including fuel and propane both compartments have expanded metal bottoms. Both areas do get a lot of dust having open bottoms but worth the extra clean up not to have an area for fumes to build up.
Both fuel and...
I may have a little overkill but I carry parts in the jeep for short trips and more in the trailer for longer trips.

We have had our Top Line Maggiolina mounted on 2 different trailers with many thousands of miles and get very little if any dust on the out side only. I drive crossed and around the Black Rock Desert several times a year the dust cloud behind the Jeep is so thick I can’t even see the trailer...
Having worked for JJ and actuality being the clear jeep on the Rubicon for a season. I don’t want to say that there is any thing wrong with Jeep vehicles I feel they are the most capable off-road production vehicles made. The clear jeep would leave before the participants and insure the trail...
