They have more luminous flux than the Trucklite headlights. Maybe as much as 40% ---- I'll have to check the specs to be sure. Φv

Looking good, Bill! I'm on the fence between TL's or JW's. I know that the JW's are the better, but the cost difference is considerable. TL's have to be a huge difference than stock though...so trying to figure out if the cost is worth it. I'm sure you'd say yes though...

Thanks, I wasn't looking forward to dealing with figuring out how to make the proper horizontal adjustments with my OCD!
I considered the harness, but after talking with Dan about a good balance between improved lighting and the bulbs' longevity, I went with the pigtails. Down the line, I can upgrade to the harness or see how LEDs have evolved (and how prices have hopefully dropped!).
No, no mention about Kiotos, thankfully. There were enough threads, reviews, and opinions to read through already!

Bill, is this mounted or unmounted? I suspect the latter. I'm very interested in these tires same size. Could you possibly measure them mounted?

The foglights flicker; the circuit is pulsewidth modulated.
I'll have to wire in a cap/resistor. ...eventually.

Same here. I don't have any flicker in my Vision X LED fogs.

I'd be willing to bet that they all flicker. You can't see it unless you put a white board right in front of them, maybe a foot or less away, and it's dark. The motor should be running too. The duty cycle is very very fast.
And, frankly, using them this morning in a steady rain on twisty, narrow, crowned, chuck-holed roads, I don't think I'm going to do anything else to them. They're perfect.
They completely filled the the void that the 8700s leave in the normal lowbeam mode. Most lights leave you wondering "where's the beef?" when it's raining. Not these.

I don't think that the power cycling from the PWM will hurt the LEDs at all but I'll call JWS tomorrow to be sure.
BTW, being the jaded sort that I am, I didn't expect these lights to be as good as they are. I really thought that they'd have upward scatter or just too much light all over the place.
But they're an exact compliment to the 8700s. I mean like a key in a lock perfect.
Very very impressive. Kudos to the engineers at JWS for making a product that works and is interesting to behold as well.
most quality fog lights are that good. the piaa fogs have good cutoff like that, but Im not sure on the brightness. I was scared using the truck lites in the rain/fog/snow as well, but they cut right through with no scatter. Impressive for sure. I can't wait to see the photos of your lights. They have a silver version too maybe they wont look so "spacey" on the jeep. ha ha!
