Get a good negative offset rim or some spacers like I did and I am sure that the skinnys will look just fine on your Gen 2.5. Shoot, your rig looks great as it stands now. Can't wait to see what you decide on.

    Jerry can holder/ mount options

Got it on Ebay. Last one they had. I did see some more up there for 21 dollars and free shipping though. It may take some time to get pictures as I will take my time with this fabrication. I got to get it right the first time around you know. The hitch idea is good too but as you can see in my...

Tire pressure on skinnys? 33/10.50/15 Balance beads?

To me it honestly drives a lot better with these on it. I know the SR has ~30 hp more than the LS. 3.5 vs 3.0, but the hp increase at the tires is probably closer to 12 -15 due to drivetrain loss. Not all that much if you think about it. So to me I imagine the skinnys would fare better on the SR...

    Jerry can holder/ mount options

Okay after careful consideration I believe I will be mounting up my can holder just above the license plate and to the left of the door lock. I found a blitz holder with a bottom for dirt cheap. Not the ones you guys have but it will do. For 15 bucks, I couldn't pass it up. I got some angled...

Thank you sir. I am constantly working on ideas for it. Right now I am working on putting limb risers and mounting up my gas can holder to the rear door somehow. I will post up more pictures as soon as I get it all squared away.

Tire pressure on skinnys? 33/10.50/15 Balance beads?

Thanks man. FWIW I am selling the 32/11.5/15 pro comp mud terrains (4) that were on it. Have PLENTY of tread left. I am in VA and I take pay-pal but prefer local pick-up.

Tire pressure on skinnys? 33/10.50/15 Balance beads?

If you want to go really skinny Interco has the SS LTB BIAS at 34 9.5 15. I was going to get those, but the warehouses were completely out and I got such a good deal on these KM2s that I couldn't pass them up. Happy I went with them too considering they are a radial tire and will last much longer.

    diff oil?

To be honest, it really doesn't matter with these unless you bought synthetic for longevity purposes. More than likely there will not be any difference in anything but that. I could see where it may make a performance difference with an LSD differential as for as the friction goes. On an open or...

Tire pressure on skinnys? 33/10.50/15 Balance beads?

On the BFG website they say it's okay to run on a 7 to 9 inch rim. 8 inches should work fine I imagine and they shouldn't be straight since they can go to a 9 inch and be fine. Keep in mind that we have about the same set up in height. So..... yeah, I should post some pics for you huh? Yeah I...

Tire pressure on skinnys? 33/10.50/15 Balance beads?

Right now, they are at 35psi. I am skeptical at 25 on the street because they are skinnys. I may try the chalk test as soon as I get some chalk. Not sure that it's much of an accurate test though. LOL....I will have pictures up by tomorrow I hope. Or at least in the next 2 days.

Tire pressure on skinnys? 33/10.50/15 Balance beads?

Just installed some new 33 10.5 15 BFG KM2s on my rig and I was wondering what the general consensus was on road and off road air pressure with a light to medium load. I also went with the balance beads to see if they actually work. Took it up to 70 with no vibrations. What do you guys think of...

    32's ver 33's

I just picked up some new 33 10.50 15 KM2s. I didn't mind the 32 11.50 pro comp MTs that I had but these are way better! They actually fill the tire wells since I did my ~2 inch lift. Looks and acts better too since they are 10.50. Keep in mind that I was on stock steel wheels at ~7 inches wide...

NEWBIE ALERT! Hello everyone, new owner of a Mitsub >>>

Silverwolf can help you with a snorkel. If I am not mistaken the Gen 2.5 is difficult to find a snorkel for. He got one but had to modify it somewhat. Old Man Emu makes some good suspension parts for the Montero. I put KYB Gas a just on mine. They are Monotube and work fantastic. I cranked the...

    SOFpirate's 1996 Montero LS buildthread.

You may want to be careful of the brown coolant. It could be coolant system stop leak. If that is the case a flush can be one of the worse things to do. You could loosen up where it is stopping the leak which in a lot of cases is the head gasket.
