    Water bladder maintenance

I keep mine in the freezer, with one of the Camelbak "bladder hangers" to keep the thing from freezing to itself. Best way I have found to clean it, is run about 1tsp of bleach in it, with some water to kill everything, then run a few TBSP of bi-carb to kill the bleach/plastic flavor. Rinse...

    Looking for Tire Carrier Spindles

Okay, the dark blue tabs mount to the bumper. I see the oiled bushings and the bolts. Is the outer sleeve what the swing arm attaches to? If so, what does the inner sleeve attach to? It looks to be 'welded' to on of the dark blue tabs. Is this correct? How would the oiled bushing operate if it...

    My new tire carrier.

Well done. Did you mimic another design, or use specific measurements? Again, well done.

Can you explain the "parallel link" portion a bit more? I'm not quite following from the pictures. Thanks

    Portable Propane Grill

Are speaking of the Q200 grill? Offtopic, but I concur about the arsenal, except I prefer the Yugo version :D

    Portable Propane Grill

Well, our cheapie $20 propane grill finally bit the dust. After about 8 years of use, it just didnt like the new salty air in CA and rusted apart, so we are in the market for a new one. I've looked at various different ones online and in the stores, but figured I'd come here to see what all you...

    ENgal SLide lock dimensions

I was thinking more of the right side of the fridge against the right side of the hatch opening, not the rear of the vehicle. I know pn my WJ, I cant have my slide next to the wheel well, or it wont slide out; I have to put it about 2" away for it to clear the side of the hatch.

    ENgal SLide lock dimensions

If you go with the slide lock, will you need to reposition the slide? The added height, and the curvature of the rear hatch; will that affect the slide?

    ENgal SLide lock dimensions

Aaron, This won't apply to your specific design, but I thought I'd throw it out there. These are the straps I use from Home Depot, $8 for two, 5' straps, one on each end. HTH, and good luck on the re-design!

Toyota axles in a Jeep WJ

Matt, The problem I am having is that the WJ is 63.5" WMS-WMS, where the XJ is ~60". I'd love to be able to swap in any of the axles you mentioned, except the 8.8(narrower than an XJ axle), for the rear. Also, I really don't want to have custom length axle shafts, front or rear. I would rather...

    Looking for Tire Carrier Spindles

From what I understand, and I could very well be wrong here, but tapered bearings handle forces in different(multiple vectors(right terminology)) directions better than regular old roller bearings. I like the design of the Custom 4x4 Fabrication swing out mount the best...

Toyota axles in a Jeep WJ

I'd like to stay as "off the shelf" as possible, whichever route I go. If I went with an HP Ford, and had it cut down to Cehvy width, then I could run Chevy outers and axle shafts to maintain the aprts availability. For my intended uses, I'm not even sure I need to go as heavy duty as a 9"...

Toyota axles in a Jeep WJ

I'll read through some of the HP44 tech on NAXJA to find out more info on the full size swaps. I'd prefer not to go as wide as 67", but we'll see how that goes. I'm thinking a more modern axle may be required though. I've got ABS and speed sensors to deal with; I don't know if the various...
