    Fuso fk 4x4 converstion????

First things first, We need to find the ratio of reduction at rear diff to see if we can leave it insitu, and block it up (a-la-isuzu) if not then you will be up for 2 axles. I'd suggest the Timken axle out of the FSS as you could (don't know if you still can?) get free wheeling hubs for them...

    Fuso fk 4x4 converstion????

With a "self install" I'd be more inclined to go with a rockwell transfer and GKN hub reduction axles. It is just easier with brake linings etc etc. and you'll have full air with s cam, not air over hydrualic. Big job for one though, how good are you with a welder, Lathe oxy and milling machine?

That's probably a good thing that I really never gave much thought. Anything to get off the 7.50 R16, hope she's all coming along nicely for you Wadey. Have you got any pics yet, or are you struggling to walk over your front lawn without breaking into freestyle or backstroke too???? Bloody Rain...

    Any srw options

G'day Tony, We tried the 825's on the 16" rims with some success, get Michelins if you can, they balance alot easier and stay balanced. The only Tyre we could find that wouldn't cut up on Cape York was a dodgy looking mud tyre made from, what I was told, was a natural Rubber compound??? Most are...

What kind of problems have you had with your Fuso?

I have one with 330k still on its first clutch, I suppose about 30-40% was @ 6 ton with 2 ton of trailer behind it over Cape York roads. Issues so far have been, Selector cables for transfer case rubbing through on front cross member, Use of non genuine wheel cylinders lasting less than...

Sure do!!! Tell your South African mates it's no gimmick. Mick Barnes is from Longreach and he started the company 29 years ago. It is tradition that we do it everyday, somewhere on our tour.

    All Terrain Warriors campers

Hey mate, don't get me wrong, I still love the OKA. But I've got to take into serious consideration issues such as, drivers who think it is a Paris-Dakar every time they drive, those brakes freak me out, with the thought of the calipers coming loose and a driver not recognising the symptoms. If...

We saw it up here, Marcus came across as a fairly arrogant salesman. I thought they had the greatest opportunity to make the ultimate 4wd of all time, seems RFW retains his crown. Why they still use those bloody high maintenence Girling disc brakes is beyond me, the Auto cooler hasn't had much...
