    How important is GVWR?

Aren’t the frames different as well on the 2500 and 3500 Rams? The 2500 has coils or airbags and a 5-link setup, the 3500 still has leaf springs. I’m thinking that alone would make the rear section of the frame entirely different. How about the wall thickness of the two frames, is there any...

Lady Godiva: 2017 Ram 3500 CCLB Build

Man, sorry to hear this! Hopefully it gets fixed fast and easy. Didn’t your Tacoma get pounded by hail early on? Maybe Mother Nature wants you to roll with some dents in the panels.

    How important is GVWR?

Do all the Ram frames (Power Wagon - 3500) have the same wall thickness? On the 2011-14 F150's there were a few different wall thickness frames available, which did play a part in GVWR, depending on different options. The HD F150's and the crew cab 6.5' bed with the Max towing pkg had the...

    F-150 Diesel

The diesel is available in the XL and XLT trims but only for fleet sales. You could probably find a fleet sales manager that would let you purchase one.

SOLD 2015 Toyota Tacoma DCLB, 4.0L, 4x4 *Westminster, CO* SOLD

I’ve followed this awesome build pretty much from day one. If I was in the market to buy, I’d definitely take this off your hands. Hope it sells quickly and goes to a good home.

Ha, I did it. Hood solar

Wow, I really like this idea! Definitely going to look into doing this on my 4runner as a roof rack eats up the next best place to put a solar panel.

Talk me out of the TRD Pro

What's wrong with leaf springs on a truck?

Talk me out of the TRD Pro

The dealership I bought my Tundra from also had a cement TRD Pro Tacoma and 4runner. If I was a millionaire, I would’ve bought all three. Anyway, they did work with me on the price of my TRD Pro Tundra. Both my Tundra and that Tacoma were pretty much the same price. For ********** and giggles, I...

Talk me out of the TRD Pro

The Pros are super rare. If you want one, you have to be willing and ready to travel to get one. I couldn't find a dealer in NM that was willing to use one of their allocations to get me exactly what I wanted so I just had to wait and search the web. I eventually found exactly what I wanted...

Talk me out of the TRD Pro

Nice looking TRDP! I'll agree that Toyota's engine, trans, and gearing choices don't make much sense to me. I think the key is that you have let them wind out, that's where their powerband is, which totally kills the mpg. I would hold off the the new JL and let the bugs be worked out first...

    F-150 Diesel

The F150 diesel is available in lower trims but only for fleet sales. Just find a fleet sales manager that would be willing to sell you one. I don't think it would be that hard to find one that would do that for you. I'm with you on the thought of $68k that goes into "limp mode". Yeah, no...

Talk me out of the TRD Pro

OP- I say, if you want the Pro, get the Pro. Nothing like not getting what you want, then every time one drives by, you kick yourself for not getting exactly what you wanted. I've been there on a couple different vehicles. That being said, to me, the TRDP is only worth it if you truly want...

    2010 Tundra Build “TRD Ferguson”

Do you have wheel spacers? I run 295’s on mine but there’s no rubbing at all, even with the mud flaps.

    2010 Tundra Build “TRD Ferguson”

Good looking setup! The 5.7 will drag that trailer around no problem. Might even get better mpg than the 80 series while doing it.

This is my very favorite rig... I call it "Vera"

Photobucket sucks! I paid them for years only to have them stop 3rd party hosting which cost me a lot of time fixing a ton of posts over a handful of forums. I use Smugmug now and it's perfect!

Lady Godiva: 2017 Ram 3500 CCLB Build

This thread is worthless without pictures!! I ran a set of Extreme Toyo AT's before and had good luck with them. Unfortunately, I only had about 20k on them when I traded in my ecobust ford but they still looked brand new. Two of them required no weight to balance and they were very smooth at...

Lady Godiva: 2017 Ram 3500 CCLB Build

I don’t see why you couldn’t run the Kings with stock springs. I’d say try it. Sounds like you are going with nice big camper, in that case, I’d definitely recommend airbags. I recommend each bag having it’s own shrader valve as well, don’t “T” the bags together.
