Show us your Toyota 4runner, tacoma or truck.

That’s really a great quote and something I need to work on. I buy something, detail it and it mostly sits in the garage for years before I actually start using it. Some more than others. My TRD Pro Tundra rarely leaves the garage but I love driving it. I know I just can’t replace it with...

How are those newer Tacos working out?

That sucks. I like those bikes. They are OK at everything and excellent at nothing but a lot of fun to ride and tinker with. Had a 2006 for a number of years and rode the hell out of that bike. It had a very "truck like" engine, lol. I had very few little issues with that bike as well.

How are those newer Tacos working out?

I have 4 co-workers with 3rd gen tacomas and all of them seem to be doing great. I believe one of them has around 60k on it, nothing but regular maintenance. As for me, I don't like how the 3.5 throttle mapping is, the transmission tuning and it doesn't have any low end power. I much prefer...

    Is the Tundra enough truck?

    TDI Toyota pickup build

Awesome build! I've been thinking of doing something real similar.

Next Question: Diesel vs. Gas F350

Because the rear 1/3 of the engine would still be under the cowl area of the cab. The engines sit more forward in the bigger trucks so the rear of the engine is much more accessible. It would be nice if they came out with something like this for the 3/4-1 tons, hell even the 1/2 tons. Pulling...

Who makes that trailer? I kind of like that design.

    Colorado ZR2 Airbags

That exact thing happened to a former neighbor of mine in his Titan. Going down a fairly easy hill, stuck his head out the window and boom, they went off. Truck was only a week old. Initially he didn’t think he was hurt but it ended up messing up his neck and back from it. If I remember...

Late Model 5.9L Common Rail Reliability

The TIPM would be a valid concern if traveling out of the country. At my former job, I witnessed a few that crapped out for the oddest reasons, taking random functions with it and down right leaving a couple stranded. A couple were warranted, the others not and it was expensive every time...

    Toyo MT 285/75r17 34x11.5

Man, that is a perfect size. 11.50” would be the absolute widest tire I would want to run, which is why I didn’t initially want to go to 35’s but now I can.

    Toyo MT 285/75r17 34x11.5

The RG's would honestly be perfect for your driving. I have over 35k on mine and the tread is still 13/32". They are also still smooth, quiet, and do well in just about every terrain. I will probably run them again. I also run them on my tundra but I don't have many miles on that set yet.

    Toyo MT 285/75r17 34x11.5

I'm not running them yet but that size will probably be what I go with next for both 4runners. The 4th gen runs 255/80/17 ST Maxx and the 5th gen runs 285/70/17 Ridge Grapplers.

    My Tundra Build

Awesome build! We did some trails in CO in mid July and I think I saw you up there. We had our 4th and 5th gen 4runners and a JK in our party.

Smoke after hill climb (3rd gen taco), then blown engine.

I have seen a 3rd gen smoke like crazy on a steep hill before, no idea if it affected engine life after that. My guess is that it’s not the water crossing that made the engine blow, but oil was somehow introduced to the combustion chambers during that steep climb and basically hydro-locked the...
