    FS: NEW Leica M Noctilux 50mm f0.95

What a stunning lens! Aerials are never cheap (we had fun getting a ship to the middle of the Canning Stock Route). However, you may want to consider grabbing a few with this https://vimeo.com/72653844

Portland to Prescott on a Ural Solo

Instead of doing something logical, like shipping the motorcycle, I have decided to ride it from Portland to Prescott, and try to take a few interesting routes doing it. Here is the route I have planned so far: Wednesday: Portland to Eugene, 110 miles Thursday: Eugene to Eureka, 303 miles...

Expeditions 7: Two Years Around the World on all Seven Continents.

The Rub al-Khali is next (to include the Oman empty quarter). After that, only the Taklamakan will remain.

Another shot of the Namib. I have grown fond of these long dune passages. This will certainly shape trip plans for 2015!

No correction necessary as I was not commenting on the Etymology. I was only relaying that the name was apply given ("earned its name") due to the things we encountered along the way.

The LR4 — Crossing America Offroad with Tom Collins at the helm!

Ray is Canadian. Human chainsaw. As I understand the situation, it was a good-natured competition. There was a chainsaw in the roof box, and Ray bet he could get through the tree before they could get the chainsaw out and fired up. It is interesting that people assume this team was...

Insurance advice for Tacoma with Four Wheel Camper UTE

Foster, I would look at Thum insurance as well. I do not remember them being particularly inexpensive, but they are both flexible and competent. http://thuminsurance.com/personal-lines-insurance/automobile I insured my EarthRoamer with them.

Range rover diesel hybrid on the Silk Road

This is a pretty legit route: Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan will be fantastic, although I would have included the Pamir Highway. Samarkand is such a beautiful city.

The LR4 — Crossing America Offroad with Tom Collins at the helm!

They only missed 15 miles because of the fires, maybe less. They also returned from the other side to retrace the route and ensure that they completed the entire route. BTW, Ray Hyland is in the bottom left of the image above. We are going through a few thousand images taken during the trip.

Overland Journal Project Land Rover Discovery 4 (LR4)

Another series of images from a recent photo shoot in California. The LR4 also rolled-over 10,000 miles, and without a single mechanical failure. https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.525575810848605.1073741827.135107853228738&type=1 Photo: Catherine Nieves, Third Street Mining Company
