The 5.0 F150 is far faster, than an F150 has any right going. I'd go with the cheaper, easier, 5.0. Get as much gear as available. Or be prepared to regear if you go with larger tires. And don't overlook that an 6.2L F250 costs less than an F150 fairly often.
