One thing the aluminum rack owners haven’t mentioned is the rattling. Anything loose or even the end of a strap can whip about and make that rack sing a VERY annoying loud rattle. Not so with the steel Baja rack.

I agree with Toasty, cranking the t-bars is very easy, just make sure to measure before and after, and adjust both sides the same amount (same number of turns). Putting on 33's changes your ride so much, you won't notice any incremental increase in spring compression.

Man, reading stuff like this makes me cringe. Go buy the O2 sensor on Amazon, take it to a muffler shop. Even if they need to cut out the old and rethread you are only talking about a few hundred dollars.

I am not personally knowledgeable about this, but i’ve heard the 2003 and later 3rd Gen’s can injest the screws that’s operate the intake butterfly valves. That kinda sounds like what happened. I suspect this would result in bent valves, which is a pretty major repair, but if you tear it down...
