Well there you go. I stand corrected.
Lots of history there either way. Personally, I find value in tradition/history like that.

They’ll give anyone a car loan these days.
Plus, Ram for example, now offers loans up to 84 months!
I’ve even heard of a Ford dealership in middle GA that will trick your truck out and then give you a 120 month loan on it! That’s just insane. You’ll be under water on that loan for at least 7...
Maybe. But that name has switched brands a few times.
I should be inheriting a 1942 Plymouth 2dr Suburban, full restoration, and been in the family since new.
But I think there were Power Wagons in the 40 as they were originally made for the military if I recall. I’m no historian though...
I certainly would too.
Damn I could of sworn I heard that somewhere. Meh. Oh well. No big deal. Thanks for the correction.

I don’t even drain the engine fuel filter. I just take off the top, pull the filter, and drop in the new one. Way less spilt fuel that way.
I actually paid to put another filter by the water separator. I can not tell you how big of a pain in the D it was to install. I haven’t deleted yet so...
“Back” on the market? Isn’t the power wagon the longest running uninterrupted automobile model in history?
I thought it was.

I’m confused. I thought you were taking the vehicle/trailer out there with you? Isn’t that the point?
I live in Atlanta too, on the north side there are plenty of trailer lots to store a trailer for cheap. I doubt an X1 would cost more than $50/month.
You could also find one of those older...
Sprinter vans and the like have kind of filled that utility role these days. Personally I hate it. But they are fairly handy and relatively inexpensive.
I’d love to see another old school Blazer/2dr Tahoe, full-size Bronco, or Ram Charger. But sadly I don’t think the market is there to afford...
The PCOR is VERY nice, but is ridiculously expensive.
The trailer will offer better livability, and you can leave it off the truck easier than the canopy on a PCOR.
Personally, I want a flat bed with a canopy for my Ram. But if I were essentially living out of the truck for an extended...
This.
I’m not sure I could ever go back to an SUV either. Don’t get me wrong we still have one, well the wife does and loves it, but the truck works for so many different scenarios that an SUV just couldn’t do, or at least it does better.

Those tires look sooo much better than a 40.
It really fills the wheel well much like a 37 does on a stock fender.
So do you think you would have had to trim on a 4.5”BS wheel?
Have you thought about high clearance radius arms like the ones from Carli?

I bought this one:
https://www.nospillsystems.com
It’s insanely fast, allows you to change the oil when it’s hot, and is extremely low profile which is a bonus when off roading.

I bought my oil and engine bay fuel filter, as well as an air filter, from Genos Garage. They have a “filter maintenance” package that is a very fair price and comes with 4 oil and fuel filters. Where did you get yours?
Then I buy my water fuel separator and in line Cat filter from whoever has...
More pictures please.
Also, please go into more detail on the trimming needed. I’m actually really surprised any was needed at all.

If I were you, I’d run the numbers on a set of rebuildable shocks + one rebuild, and compare that price to the shocks you’re considering. It most likely will make more financial sense to save up for a set of rebuildable shocks and they will pay for themselves once you start rebuilding them...
I’m not wrong. But I see your confusion. You assume ride characteristics give or take an improvement in ride, when actually the spring 100% IS the ride. A shock simply allows the spring to compress or rebound faster or slower based on desired tune. Remote reservoir or piggyback shocks do the...
I feel like I need to point out here that shocks do not make the ride better or worse.
Shocks control the springs, you need shocks tuned to your spring to optimize the ride characteristics you want.
