For what it's worth the Randy Ellis Sleekster rails can be had with a step too. They will also work with amp power steps. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

2009 Dodge Ram - Considering Building - Searching for Answers

So I used to have a 2009 1500 and drove it for 8 years until I upgraded to a 3500. Here are some of my thoughts: Lift - do not go over a 35” tire. The rear end is just not large enough to handle anything bigger. Look into Carli’s new offering for the 1500 with king shocks. It will completely...

Nice catch. I didn't think of that. Once I delete, that will be the route I go. Thanks!

I have not spoken to Titan but I also hypothesized that the DEF tank was to blame. Would the spare tire tank work if one did not use the rear winch? Twin tanks! That's great to read. Any info or insight on the company that you can share? Excited to hear that the kitchen slide will be offered...

    Ram with canopy

It’s sexy as hell to me that the locks are keyed to your fob. It’s little details like that that make a big difference. I wonder if one of the titan xxl tanks will fit once you loose the bed. Currently titan says they can not make an xxl for a CCSB ram and only offer the spare tire tank...

47! Well done sir. Getting out before you're 50 is quite the accomplishment. What type of work are you saying so long too? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Vehicle research: RAM 1500 info sought....

The graphics, like the raptors, are removable seeing as how they are just vinyl stickers. And yes they are hideous. But the PW has been an option since the '40s. Long before Ford ever dreamed of the raptor. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Vanilla Gorilla: 2017 Power Wagon build

The factor 55 receiver mount should be more than sufficient since the hitch is designed to tow 2x+ what the truck weighs. Plus removing the shackle mounts will give a cleaner look and snag less when off road. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Favorite Big truck all-terrain tire or mud for camper weight and longevity?

You said big truck, so I'm assuming heavy duty. Most of us with HDs are running Toyo or Nitto. BFGs are way too soft to run on HD trucks. Both Toyo and Nitto are made in the same factory outside of Atlanta and are essentially the same tire just a different tread design. It's hard to beat...

    Ram with canopy

A 200ish pound canopy, with the majority of the weight in the bottom, is not going to effect, particularly a Cummins equipped ram, the COG or even the handling nearly as much as you think. You have to remember these trucks are designed to haul 3000+ lbs in the bed while towing 20k ... safely...

    Ram with canopy

There are pros and cons to every setup. I've yet to see one that only has marks in the pros column. With both the canopy and AT pop top I'd still want a rather larger awning, most likely a 270. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Ram with canopy

I actually disagree. I think it's a great multi use product. Now converting a pick-up to one is not exactly cost effective, but people could certainly purchase a chassis cab in what ever trim level they want then add the tray bed and canopy. I really dig tray beds. They are extremely useful...

    Ram with canopy

It looks like Patriot Campers PCOR tray bed and canopy. I believe their US distributor, Expedition Outfitters, will have them for sale here soon. The only AEV thing on the truck that I see is the snorkel though. It has Method NV HD wheels too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Help getting dog to climb into rooftop tent

I have a truck with the tent on a rack over the bed so I would throw a roll of padded astro turf over the hood, windshield, and roof of the cab and let the dog walk up and down. There was also a small step ladder at the front to allow my dog onto the hood. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Vanilla Gorilla: 2017 Power Wagon build

I've wondered the same as well. I know at least part of the slider is mounted behind the door sill though. I'm guessing it's nothing a little sealant couldn't prevent but I've never seen a set up close. Only pictures. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
