Yep, I have a mityvac. I will probably start doing more frequent intervals also. I never did stick with 15,000, but I might do something closer to 7k. I will probably stick with mobil 1, either the standard stuff or extended performance.
I don't want to derail the thread, but now I am curious what oil people are using on these. I want to start doing more frequent changes and I was planning on just going with mobil 1 full synth. Up until my warranty recently ran out I was letting the dealer do oil changes, but I typically do my...
What vehicle do you have?
AB just started carrying the metal pan for the lr3/4 with the separate filter. Much easier for a DIY mechanic to swap that out.
I opted to not put the actual charger in the engine bay. I read somewhere that it is not recommended, but it seems to be setup to just plug in from the outside.
OP, i know you know about this stuff... posting for others of course.

I am assuming that the LR3 is pretty close to an LR4... ? I run Blizzaks DM-V2 on stock 19" wheels, so I doubt I will ever need them... but I threw my z-chains on just to check clearance. Not much room on my LR4, but i think it will work with this setup. Plenty or room on the rears (so I...
From the FSM
Refer to the electrical guides and check the circuit between the Transmission Control Module and the shift lock solenoid. Check the Transmission Control Module connector and the power/ground circuits to the module. Clear the DTC and retest. If the problem persists, renew the...
Measuring alternator voltage when the car is running isn't straight forward. You can see 14.7, or 13.4 or even 12.X (or whatever the battery is at). Depending on what the computer wants to do. Highly recommend an IID tool, because it can show you the overall system amps and voltage and you...
Ok, it decided to charge just now... So ignore all my posts. It's all normal. It just doesn't charge at all sometimes. I never noticed this in warmer weather.
Well... this more you know moment brought to you by my credit card.
I must have mine in the draw down portion. It is still not charging, but working alright. And just to be specific.. it seems the alternator puts out plenty of amps, and some volts.. its not letting it drain much more than the 2amps shown in the graph. It's just not pumping out the 14v+ that...
265/65R18 may rub a little depends on tire. Will require removing spare wheel heat shield and slight deflation to wedge it in there.
265/60R18 wont rub and will fit in the spare tire location.
I really dislike recommending overpriced lift rods to people, as I think its bad for the suspension to...
Had some errands today. Seems to be getting worse. Now its running down around 12.3v-12.5v and will spike going down hill and such but stays pretty low. The computer is being wacky. Monday I will have a new battery and try a BMS reset, but I dont know what to try next. BMS itself? The...
Sc80 yes
Just to add to this, i dont think the batteries have really ever been split much lately. The batteries were sitting at 12.6 almost all the time after a drive. The light on the SC80 was solid. I did have the SC80 hooked up after I replaced the alternator and so it is a possible...
Couple days ago I did a CTEK charge on the terminals with everything unplugged. Held 13.4v no problem. These should be pretty healthy AGM batteries. I did order a new one on friday anyway just because im going nuts, but at this point I think the battery is fine. It holds 12.6 fine after a...
So, my traxide kit is completely disconnected, everything stock as possible. (has been for the other graphs also).
But I just did a test... disconnected main battery, let the computer reset. And now it seems to work perfectly! So im screwing something up after a reset and then the computer...
