Yeah, I have a whole other thread going about my NL issues, another member with a 2012+ Jeep JK was experiencing the exact same issue. He ended up ditching his as well. For whatever reason, the NL and the JK don't seem to like each other.
I love the fact that the Blue Sea has a manual...
Thanks, I agree on the updates, always good to see what actually worked!
I got a couple retracting ratchets that are much nicer than what I was using. Also ordered a couple pairs of the new Lynx hooks that ExploringElements reviewed from Expo. They are kind of like RokStraps which I've used...
Apparently some older pickup beds are the same dimensions, Ford LWB 82-96 and Dodge LWB 73-87, but you'd have to verify the sizing for sure. I'm trying to figure out a cover that will still provide decent access when the rack is down in it's travel position. The front shouldn't be too hard but...
I found myself in Death Valley again this May in similar temps as last year, so I thought I would report back on my results.
Late last summer, I discovered I was having intermittent charging issues with my National Luna system. After swapping parts around with the help of Paul from Equipt, the...
Update
Just a quick update after having used the trailer a couple times.
Took a trip out to Death Valley at the beginning of the month. With all the washboard roads, if something was going to break it was for sure going to happen out there. Good news is, the trailer worked flawlessly!! Not...
I have a couple of the 46qt. ones as well. Really happy with them. The price is great and so much better then fighting with the latches on the Bundu/Frontrunner boxes!
I haven't had any road spray issues either. I noticed even when locked there is about a 1/4" of play with the lid, so the silty dust of the desert easily found it's way inside. Maybe I will see if I can get rid of the play first. It's Harbor Freight so I guess I shouldn't be too surprised!
Nice! Thanks for the pics on the actuators, looks pretty straight-forward. I'd probably have to redo my brackets as well, I'm thinking mine are too narrow.
I don't know about your tongue box, but the seal on mine is horrible, so much dust got in from Death Valley it was laughable. Will be...
Very cool, except when you don't have a tailgate! The right height table/bench could be built to do something similar though.
No longer an issue for me, my RTT is now mounted to my M101A1!
Looking forward to this build, and always happy to help!
Save those parking brake cables and levers, with a little fiddling you should be able to reuse them with the Dexter parking brakes. Mine were a wreck and finding reasonably priced replacements has been difficult.
