Just curious, when the dealer tested and said it was "charged and good" what was the battery voltage? Also, have you used a multi-meter to confirm the voltage?
I had Sears try to tell me my battery was "good" and it was far from it.
Windows gave up on Windows RT so all the newer tablets are running full 8.1. The newer Asus does not have the stylus despite some of the websites saying otherwise. Mine came straight from the Microsoft store, although it is no longer available on their site.
It's nice little setup with the...
I wasn't using the tablet, I was using my regular windows 8.1 laptop. Also, my tablet is not that same as yours as it runs Windows 8.1, not RT and runs .exe files just fine. Nice attitude.
I have an older Zumo 550 that definitely works with gloves, not sure about the Montana. I did have some luck with this for using gloves with my phone.

After having a vehicle stolen, I was advised by the LEO to not leave my registration in my vehicle. If the thief was pulled over prior to the vehicle being reported stolen, and he was to present the registration, there would be no reason to check further. If he didn't have the registration...
After trying so many of the Windows/Android Apps with limited success, I've basically setup my Windows 8.1 tablet to run Garmin Basecamp and will continue to use my Garmin Zumo for navigating. I got a small bluetooth keyboard and mouse so I can easily plan routes using the tablet when on the...
On the road
Been pretty swamped but got to take the trailer out on it's maiden voyage, albeit a short one. The trailer performed perfectly! The JK pulled it with no issues, even over some decent size passes.
I realized I don't have any in camp photos handy, have to post those later, but I...
I would definitely keep jumper cables handy, I had the NL system and there were times when the "override to connect" button on the controller would not connect the 2 batteries.
I now run the 500amp Blue Sea ML-ACR, which has an in cab switch and the ability to do it manually at the relay.
Apparently the question will not be answered, despite my DVD drive being able to read every version of DVD, it would not read the install disk. Also kind of disappointed to see no mention of windows 8 on the install disk, makes it seem like an old product.
Needless to say, I'm returning it.
Despite feeling like I am having a conversation with myself....
I went ahead and ordered Topo 10 with the gps puck for $76 on sale. I should be able to answer my own question about whether topo will use the internal gps on my tablet in the next few days. If not, I will have the puck as well...
Great write up, thanks!
I have decide between the cool white and the warm white, past experience with white led's make things more difficult to see, where as the warm white seems more agreeable to my eyes. Hard to explain.
While I don't disagree with you, the NL solenoid shutting down for no apparent reason wasn't helping the overall issue. The point of my post was only with regards to the ongoing NL issues.
Switched over to a 500amp Blue Sea ACR with the remote switch about a month or so ago and haven't had any issues with daily driving. Finally got out of town this past weekend in to the desert, with temps in the high 90's, pulling a trailer over a couple mountain passes and had zero issues with...
