Just an aside, I wholly unimpressed with MapsPro routing abilities. It seemed unable to keep up in routing mode, despite being fine finding position when not routing. An that is assuming you can get it to route at all to begin with, it's making my old Garmin look better and better.
Also, got...
I have an Asus windows 8.1 tablet with built in GPS. I know that Garmin Basecamp won't recognize the internal tablet GPS, but was curious if Delorme's Topo 10 would?
I'd rather not have to use an external GPS puck.
Thanks.
Thanks, I'm going to do a pre-trip tow run this weekend but honestly I am not worried about it at all. It's 125lbs tent on top of a 1300lbs trailer (when empty) so I doubt it's going to be an issue. However, I will let you know after this weekend.
That could work, just have to figure out how to get the clevis on the end of the cable, may be as simple as cutting off the existing end and having a new one crimped on the end. Thanks for the link.
I haven't completely given up yet on the Titan kit, I may see if I can get a metal loop clamp, a bolt and a couple of locknuts to McGuyver the cables to the Dexter brake lever. I'm not using it as a break-away device, I have a battery powered solution for that issue, so it doesn't need to be...
Brief update
Got a chance to open up the RTT tent this weekend and test out the height with the Annex attached. It all worked out perfectly!
Finished bedlining the bed, replaced the chains and pins for the tailgate as well so that it will function as a tailgate which is where I plan to...
Have talked to both etrailer and Titan and the kit I posted is not compatible with the Dexter parking brake. The only way would be to have the cables modified to have a clevis type end put on them.
I did find a setup on another site that would work but the cables and the lever system need to...
Just an update, it appears the cable ends on this kit are not compatible with the Dexter despite what the website says, waiting on etrailer.com to get back to me. Will update once I have more news.
Nice work!
Where do you mount your Trasharoos? I've been trying to come up with a way to mount them off the back but swing out of the way once camp is reached, to provide access to the tailgate.
