I can't remember when I've had a landcruiser with under 100K....My 80 had 175K when I bought it, and I've got 163K on the 70 now....no problemos. Maintenance is key.... -H-

I'm having a hard time making a decision as to mount my Yaesu 7800R in the Land Cruiser, or making it a portable unit, with a simple Quad-Helix or J-pole antenna with a small 12V battery in a pelican case. I have a Yaesu 170 HT which lives in the truck, and does just fine for vehicle to vehicle...

Wow...I thought for $12K it was a diesel.... Personally, I wouldn't pay more than $3500 for a 3FE FJ80 unless it was already set up...then maybe add 1-2K to the price. -H-

Don't mind at all...I didn't know that the OEM cover was underneath....learn somethin' new everyday about land cruisers... I'd assume it keeps sand out by limiting the intake.... -H-
