Airbox is in! Once again, OEM Toyota stuff is so easy to install! Now...gotta find some deep water.....:elkgrin: -H-

Just a liberal amount of black RTV silicone in place of the OEM foam, and it should be watertight from the snorkel head to the airbox. No problems at all. -H-

Just say no, man.... That's a great project for TLC....bad for your backyard or garage.... I'm willing to bet you could just buy a 100 series for what it's gonna cost you to do that conversion. -H-

Thanks to Michael at West Coast Cruisers (www.westcoastcruisers.com) I sourced an OEM Toyota snorkel. Install is pretty straight forward, especially since I've installed several Safari snorkels before....this time, without a template, it was a measure three or four times, cut a little....test...

Clinicals are a blast! Don't worry at all about those, you'll do fine. -H-

Study the materials and take a practice NR test or two. There will be some things on the NR test that'll leave you wondering...did we ever go over that in class? Other questions will give you two perfectly good answers....just try and think like the NR test folk, and the practice tests will...

Ok, I've got a couple of the NATO style cans that I've used for gasoline in the past, and I'd like to use them for diesel fuel now.... So, anyone see any issues with my just letting 'em air out really well and filling them with diesel? -H-

I ended up giving my steel PSP away years ago...just too heavy and cumbersome to deal with, both using and mounting. The Maxtrax and aluminium items are much better to use....although more expensive. -H-

I wouldn't worry about it, the class (MSF Basic Rider Course) is set up for folks who know little or nothing about motorcycles prior to the course. Just go and have fun; that's what motorcycles are about! -H-

I'm going OEM on my 70 series...just because I like the lines better than the more rounded Safari. Having installed a Safari on several 80 series rigs....it's easy and a top notch product. Kurt is right, the OEM holes are rectangular, and no template is included. Last time I priced out all...

Even my troopy would cruise at 70 in overdrive with not too much of a problem.... My older 76 40 with the 2F, 4 speed and 4.10s liked 55mph on the highway...but I agree, 40mph is too low. -H-
