Some of the cheap Coleman’s aren’t even coming with furnaces, just a 120 electric fireplace. I prepped one for a guy who bought the trailer for fall deer hunting, he requested the optional second propane tank.
I was like, uh, are we gonna tell him he didn’t buy a propane furnace?
I work at a dealer that sells forest river products. The lower end units get 12v absorption fridges, everchill(neverchill) brand. We used to have a half dozen waiting to be sent back for warranty, maybe they’re better now?
Better units get a 2 way fridge, rarely 3 way.
Big units get residential...
I just checked in an E pro at the shop today. I think it was a custom order. Had a lithium battery under the bed and a 3,000w inverter/charger. Also a real battery monitor and three solar panels on the roof.
Must have added 10k to the price.
It wasn’t a toy hauler though, it was a bunk house.
They’re silent and ride a little better than the e load snow tires I took off. Got a little wheel spin merging into traffic in the rain today but that’s probably normal. The snow tires I took off were narrower and softer so I didn’t get much of that before.
I went with the at’s for peace of mind...
New tires. 265/75r16 (31.7”) Goodyear ultraterrain. Load range SL.
Decided to paint the steelies white for that international hilux/ land cruiser look.
265/75r16 Goodyear ultraterrain posted next to 235/85r16 Firestone Winterforce.
No real review yet, only about five miles on them in stop and go traffic.
They look cool though. Lol
Out of the three kinds of slides typically used two have manual override and one of those is actually accessed without tearing the slide facia off.
I think op has an r pod which has the schwintec system and impossible for a novice to manually run in.
We were at grand Teton once in a non generator site, a couple hundred feet away from generator sites.
It was annoying hearing the construction generators running when I myself couldn’t run my quiet inverter. If I ran mine in the back of the truck under the bed cover with the tailgate down(in eco...
It’s only available in the higher trim levels and in crew short box.
That’s a big nope from me.
The lockers should be a stand alone option on every trim level.
I like my base model XL truck.
You were thinking about using the tank when it’s horizontal? That’s worse than just storing it horizontally.
It’s again the issue of what will come out of the tank, liquid or vapor.
If your alternator has you at 13v and you’re trying to charge through 20’ of 10-12 gauge wire your trailer battery isn’t getting enough voltage to actually charge.
Running a heavier wire would help, less voltage drop.
The dc to dc makes up for voltage drop, and usually incorporates a heavier wire.
I couldn’t find any f150’s comparable in price to what I paid for my ranger unless I went ten years older.
I got a base xl with a locker which is exactly what I would have wanted in a f150.
The price difference and the fact I can fit it in my tiny garage are the only benefits over a full size...
