    12v portable jump starter issues?

I’ve had those little play alligator clips come apart a few times but I think they’ve always worked, just needed a few tries.

    F150 - 2.7L vs 3.5L vs 5.0L

We've had some class C rv's at work with the 7.3 and they sound rowdy with stock exhaust. Then someone stole the cat off of one and it sounds like a drag car.

    Isuzu NRR / Acela Straya High-mobility 4×4 Cab-over Truck

I had a GM truck with this 6.0 engine, and a six speed trans. Towing my big boxy travel trailer we were 17,000lbs combined weight(4,000 under what the truck was rated for). The engine did it but at 3500-4500rpms to maintain 55mph with a headwind, that makes for a long day. I don’t think this...

“Big Bear” 1979 F700 Firetruck Build

They put those in the five ton trucks? I don’t have any experience but I’d look at gearing/ transmission and wheel size to figure out what kind of cruising speed you’d have. Any military truck I’ve been in tops out at a very loud 55-60 mph.

The real reason to buy the new Maverick

I can get Guinness in a bottle pretty reliably. Can’t find Pacifico in a can though. EDIT: Both stout and draght? I think. Can’t tell the difference.

    2019 Ford Ranger Taking Orders

Well as a current Ranger owner this was a fun thread. My favorite comment was how the Ranger was “a dog”.

Photos of mid-sized vehicles - Post Here

The viair is probably fine for non HD trucks. I tried to use it on my last truck to air the 33’s from 50psi to 80psi for towing and I got two tires done in an hour. I greatly exceeded the duty cycle.

Time for a New Truck--MPG is a Priority

I doubt it. My 10 speed 2.3 3.73 ranger doesn’t even seem to get better than the 2.7 f150

Time for a New Truck--MPG is a Priority

When OP says better MPG is he trying to have a lower cost of ownership, or a longer range?

Mounting Options for Front Aux Lights

That’s what I did on my ‘11 2500, that was for little led lights. I wish I could find a way to mount my huge hella 4000’s on my new ranger. Problem is they’re ~6” deep.

Can you register the side by sides for street use so you don’t have to leave your tow vehicles at the trailhead?

    Block heater question?

I know the newer Chevy trucks have block heaters that have a thermostat built in so they’re not on all the time. Short of using a Kill A Watt I’m not sure how you’d tell if it was working. Also I don’t think you need to have your inactive truck plugged in long term. Maybe a battery tender if...

    Trailer suspension Options pros/cons

I do a lot of trailer bearing repacks at work. We always do it the old way. I’ve seen the quick lube style blow grease out the seal and contaminate the brakes. There’s no way to see that without taking it all apart.

how to design a water system that is operational below freezing

I typically winterize a camper by hooking my air line, at 40-50psi to the outside city water hookup. Then I go around the camper opening the facets, toilet, shower etc. Then I use the water pump to pump RV antifreeze through the system. Plenty of people skip the antifreeze step. I’m not sure how...
