I'm a big fan of the Nexus program in general, and we've had 4 such devices, but this one is just "too big" for me. Super-glad my Nexus5 is going to get Lollipop, though, so hopefully the "phablet" trend will stabilize and some mid-size phones will still be on offer in another year or so.
Interesting. I own a GP helmet mount, but haven't used it (mostly use my camera on my race car, etc.) I may refrain from using it for anything where I NEED the helmet. (i.e. I may use it the mount and wear a helmet just to have a way to have a POV camera in a situation where the helmet isn't...
Working well for how I intended to use it.
Whenever we're actually camping, I pull the panel out and put it in direct sun. Once home, I disconnect all the major loads (fridge, etc.) and use my Odyssey charger to bring the house battery back up to 100%, then I connect the panel in the rack and...
Yep, it's Mike. And yep, footwell is a bit of a problem. I make do as the driver. For the passenger side the best I could manage was to cheat the seat another couple of inches aft when I built the new mounting brackets with the swivel base. It helped some, but luxurious these will never be!
You'd be surprised. These were very popular at the recent Mountain Rendezvous due to the burn-ban. Folks were like moths to the flame of the Lil' Red nearest us; at one point someone counted 16 people huddled around!
I Neil, I think I get it now. Was the 6mm plate/reel all mounted down near the base, then the belt just looped up over the shoulder area of the seatback? Since I can see that the belt "rests" over the back when it is lowered, I assumed the reel was mounted to the movable seat back.
Thanks...
If you don't need a full shower-bath, you can also ask Sportsmobile about including space in a cabinet for a porta potti or other cassette toilet.
I transport mine between the front seats. The platform you see it sitting on goes over the top during travel to help strap it down and it doubles...
Interesting. I hope "Galaxy devices" includes my Tab4; that would be a nice addition as I'm still trying to find an offline-capable street navigation app I like.
Brian and I have met, but I think the last time we were together in person I hadn't yet put the pop-top into my van... We keep missing each other at the various Rendezvous and get-togethers.
It's the unfortunate balance to the universal equation that lets us shorter guys drive any tiny little sports and race cars that we want! ;-) Put a six+ footer into a Miata and he'd likely be "uncomfortable", but try to squeeze him into my little Euro Swift Formula Ford and he'd either be a...
Here's my thing about long distance travel: Fatigue becomes a factor. A significant factor. The harder you have to work piloting the vehicle, the harder the trip is over the long haul. You get tired. You make mistakes. You get irritated.
That leads me to my concern about that Samurai -...
I've now organized my camp kitchen around a pair of the smaller Lifetime folding tables (2'x4' models). One is all plastic, the other is the "grilling table" that's half plastic and half wire "mesh" (although I found the openings in the wire too big to use with my grill, so I covered the wire...
I use a couple of similar Butane stoves, but my favorite is the Stansport Dual Fuel version:
Takes the same Butane cartridges for convenience (and buy them at your local Asian market BTW, they're 4-for the same price as 1 at Big5), but also allows you to use propane if needed. I carry the...
Yeah, I agree with that principal, and I'm not bothered by the location of the head, relative to the door. My main concern is with the layout that puts the lower "dinette" bunk between the upper bunk and stuff like the door or the head. One of the luxuries of an indoor head is not having to...
How much did you pay? Looking at the GrillIt! and it looks exactly like a product I see at my local Asian market for like $20. I've seen non-stick and cast versions (with a pebbled texture), meant to go over the top of catering burners or stovetops.
