Welp. Those of you who follow me on IG already know but had a pretty major issue in the middle of the desert this weekend. Thanks to cheap plastic parts, I lost all my coolant a few miles down a wash.
The plastic connector components of the heater hose were brittle and broke in numerous spots...
Looks like an awesome project. I'll follow along for sure. I have always wanted to piece parts together from various vehicles to make something awesome.
Nice truck!
I almost bought one in 2016. I dont think the dealership knew it was a power wagon because it was the same price as the other tradesman trucks, even the 2WD. I want to say they were selling it for like 28k maybe?
Anyways, I didn't go through with it and happy I didn't because the...
Finally getting parts installed. Deavers and RPG shackles have completely changed the rear end for the better.
Also got the ICON UCAs installed. There was an entire dilemma with the RPG Tie Rods but I got it corrected and will have someone install them for me.

I think carpet looks nicer and I'd think it has a higher resale value if/when that time comes.
Unless you're in a dirty trade or have a specific need for vinyl, I would do carpet.

Nice! We did Hawaii for 2 weeks, a trip to the local mountains and a trip to the desert.
The whole time I kept thinking to myself, I'm getting paid to do this!!!!
Fab something up that sits between the bedrails and the camper? Depending on the dimensions of the camper that could work.
I'd contact @Basil. at Basils Garage and pick his brain. They kinda specialize in baja surf travel type of builds.
Stealerships man! Jeez! I needed a few maintenance items and a few minor recalls to be addressed, nothing big. The guy comes back to me with some additional recommended services. He recommended the "Filter Package". $250 to replace the air and cabin filters. YEAH RIGHT SON
I did not have high hopes for the reveal but am very impressed. As an owner of a 1970 Scout 800 I could potentially see one in my driveway down the line.
No first hand experience but I saw a guy on Instagram who has a a piece of plywood that was cut to fit nicely in the back of his F150 (I think) with the seats up. He had the little connector/clamps screwed into the board and he had a nice layout with the packout boxes securely connected to the...
