After a few years of wanting, I Finally got my Discovery!!!! Meet Suzie

This. x100. Get some gauges on it, and monitor the water temp like a hawk. As for lifting and whatever, idk what your Monty was set up like or the trails you do, but I'm pretty happy with running a slightly upsized tire (245/75-16) and no lift on my 95. The gearing is insane, the truck impresses...

    Shopping for a Disco

x2. I'm running T6 5w-40 full synthetic and have the oil analysis to prove the motor loves it.

    LR3 rock crawling carnage

Wow, thats some lame-*** stamped steel. Are the RRS arms beefier? Or just beefier bushings?

    2016 Colorado Diesel

Yea, but was it a brand new F250 you just spent 40 grand on? I don't mind pin striping the truck, but small and mid size everything keep getting bigger and bigger. It's difficult to imagine keeping one in between trees. And to echo all the other comments in here, it doesn't seem like you're...

    2016 Colorado Diesel

Theres a lot of small thing on the F150 that make it "bigger" though. The cab is way bigger, so you need more lift for the same ground clearance as the Taco. The front and rear overhangs are a lot lower, and the body is generally more "square," and also a bit wider making it feel bigger on the...

Bringing Sexy Back. AKA 93' LWB RRC

If you're gonna swap it, swap it. LS/NV4500/D300. Or pony up for the $1k LT230 to GM adapter. You'll probably get the same fuel mileage with a LS as you would a 300Tdi, but with three times the power.

Why are there not more MK III expo rigs on here?

I'd love to pick up a blown-motor BMW L322, swap all of the guts out to a LSX/4L80E, throw 60s under it, and toss 37s under it. Would be bad ***.

That sucks. But kudos for using the truck hard.

Herculining Wood? Or.... For storage setup

I used Herculiner on a MDF sub box years ago. It held up fantastically. It was more often bouncing and sliding around the back of my XJ than it was bolted down. No special prep, just sanded.

93 RRC vs. 06-07 Range Rover vs. LR3

That's a beautiful RRC you got there. Sure, a newer truck is nice but there is something to be said about a well-maintained classic truck. Your RRC is only going to increase in value over time to make up for any parts/labor you put into her, that won't be the case with the LR3 or new RR.

How do Gen II's stack up against Land Rover Discovery's?

I couldn't find a SR not rotted out and with decent mileage within a couple hours drive from me, ended up with a Disco. I love it to death, but if I needed a new truck tomorrow I'd look again for a Gen II Montero. Just something about them that I like. That being said, the Disco ALWAYS impresses...

Toyo R/T on hardpacked snow - anyone experienced it?

I loved my MTZs in the snow. Very underrated tire IMHO. I'd put it right next to Duratracs in the snow and worlds better at everything else offroad.

    A little overwhelming...

If you're looking for strong sidewalls, remove the AT3 from your list.
