I forgot to answer... I am running very similar tires. 235/85R16, 32"x9.3". I think narrow 32" tires are perfect for these trucks. I re-geared to 4:56 also which with the 2.7 is perfect with a slightly higher overall gear ratio.
Yeah both my front bearings exploded and pressed out past the c clips the wrong way retaining them and destroyed them. About 36 hours before I was leaving the country for work. Luckily it did not damage the knuckle. But I had to drive 2 hours to find a dealer with the snap rings to get the thing...
My 2RZ 1st Gen Taco has 150K on the clutch and has spent most of its life as a city commuter and part time quasi-racing rally cross truck and has about 6K miles towing a 3500 lb trailer from the east coast through the Rockies a couple of times. Repackable wheel bearing in the 5 lug though but...
I love seeing another 1st Gen build progress. It's super funny how similar our builds are. I just put an OME lift and Arb Bumper on and I am planning to drive down to Mexico for work in November.
Did you have issues with your cv boots hitting things? Mine were hitting the A arm rivets and the...
Yes I do, I commend them for that. But the 1.5 year wait is still ridiculous, especially since they are pushing their product all over social media and sending pushes out like "What color would you buy?" ETC when no one is even capable of choosing a color and buying in the same calendar year. So...
In the real actual world people can be called out for naive behavior AND receive an unfair unjust punishment. We can be angry at them and hope they don't suffer the worst fate. We can point out why this was a bad decision without it being gleeful. Cool straw man argument though.
I don't stipulate that is 100% true (in my case I know it was not because my stock size BFG AT's were garbage in every metric) but for the sake of argument I'll say it is and I'll take the almost complete inability to hydroplane skinnies, less propensity to hook into snow banks or get sucked...
This whole generation of huge tires sticking 4 inches outside the flares is so dumb.
That being said I will take the weight penalty for my E rated skinnies for the strength they provide and the ride quality issue is way overblown, at least for a narrow E rated tire. With a regear I picked up...
My lack of empathy is not based on some crumbling of the moral fiber of society.
It comes from the fact I watched their channel and they had a very strange cavelier vibe like they were bored with what they were doing and just chipping away at a trust fund. That may be completely unfounded but...
Yes. But nothing is stopping me lol. By the way I am trying to get the newly installed suspension to settle to its static height and figure out if I want to keep the extra leaf I have. There is at least 1000lbs in the bed of this thing now and it still drives and brakes great. No speed demon...
Says in the vid smooth and hopefully lighter normal siding is available. Although that may already be "fake" diamond plate that is lighter.
I would pony up the premium over Vagabond and GFC just to not give a free loan and wait 1.5 years.
Hope you got some spare time if you go Shrockworks. I love the rear bumper they made for me but it took almost 6 months.
I also wanted TJM and gave up when I was looking 6 months ago.
Thanks that was exactly what I was looking for and I can swallow $75. I had no idea the bling level $$$ those Factor 55 ones were before I checked the prices.
