I am curious what you're going to do with the front driveshaft. Are you able to fit a one piece shaft in that chassis, with enough clearance around the lower links?

These older AMC era Jeep bodies are pretty horribly put together. When comparing side to side measurements, they can vary quite a lot. The rear corners, before I installed the tailgate, were off almost 3/8 of an inch. Spending some time "blueprinting" the body will really show in the final...

More floor patch, this time under the storage compartment. Here's the whole passenger side complete with repairs.

Repairing some of the tears in the metal, it's easier to cut out the section and fab up a new patch. This door pin hole in the jamb is a good example.

Then I started on the floor patch. After that patch was welded up and ground smooth, the body mount went on. I strategically make the cuts for the patch panels directly over the strengthening rib flanges to help keep things nice and tidy.
