I would think you would need to look at a '97 or later with the 3.5l SOHC (non SR etc) to find a rear with a 9.5" and open. Or a Sport. I do have an open 9.5" carrier from a Sport sitting in my garage that I removed the 4.9 ratio R&P. Probably won't do you any good thou without the axles...

I used to have a Tuffstuff RTT, they are great. I wouldn't own a RTT without an annex but that is just me.
If the annex is the same footprint now as when we bought ours (4 years ago) I don't think it would be an issue having a cot and small table or kitchen in it. I wouldn't cook inside...

I use a Lenovo Tab2 8", although the Tab3 is now selling. My Tab2 works great, built-in GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth etc. The Tab3 is about $100 with android 6 (Amazon)
