Really? Maybe ended recently. The current Pajero Sport sold in India is assembled in Tiruvallur by Hindustan Motors and comes with a 4D56 DID.

Bad Engine knock time for replacement?

4M40 is even more difficult to find than a good 3.5L. Book rate (Motor - Imported Car Parts & Time Guide 14th edition) on the engine change-out: 3.5L Engine R&R transfer fuel and electrical units - does not include transfer of any accessories - 16.9 hours. The guy is outa his mind. There is...

    Igor's 2002 Montero gen 3 build

Agreed - looks good. I don't think there are wheel spacers on it. Looks like my '05. 255/85R/16 are an inch + taller than what he is running. Had this size on my '88 for a while - sorta wish I would have kept them. Should also look good on a Gen 3.

    Igor's 2002 Montero gen 3 build

Don't need wheel spacers or lift for 265/75R/16 on stock wheels

    Opinion on 2006 Montero

Stock alloy 6 spoke wheels are 17" x 7.5" LT265/70R/17 (~32") fit without problem stock. I've heard of others running LT285/70R/17 (~33") with a little rub in extended situations. No wheel spacers, no lift, stock wheels. I bought a set of '01 16" x 7" stock alloys and will mount up...

Shopping for tires Gen 3 BFG T/A KO

Old style. New style (KO2) is not available in LT235/85R/16 yet. Slightly larger LT265/75R/16 (about 1" wider) KO2 are are $32 per tire more expensive than the LT265/75R/16 KO - not worth it for her daily driver.

Yes '89 FSM will do. $90 for an expert opinion isn't that bad. Probably 1 hour at their shop rate.

    Opinion on 2006 Montero

Montero with 100K is fine. Price could be negotiated a little. Timing belt and water pump job at the dealer on my '05 was $1200 almost 2 years ago. I'm sure higher now as shop rates have risen.

Need Your Opinion, Looking at a 91 Montero RS

All the Factory Service Manuals are available here: http://www.mitsubishilinks.com - drop the guy a little paypal love for hosting these. Correct - non-interference engine. My water pump seized and took out the timing belt about a month ago on the '92. Straight forward repair. Just be sure...

Need Your Opinion, Looking at a 91 Montero RS

Timing belt is not too bad to do yourself on the 3.0l. Shop rate is 4.5 hours - so multiply that by your shops per hour cost. Not sure about the valve stem seals.
