FS in SoCal: 4 BFG AT KOs with only 7k on them, 235/85/16, perfect for trailers too

Don't hold them for me. I'm traveling in China until Nov 17th. When I return to Milwaukee and if you still have them, I will ask my work shipping coordinator about the discount rate from UPS. Just going by basic size and weight the cost per tire to ship is $82 each - not really worth it. But...

FS in SoCal: 4 BFG AT KOs with only 7k on them, 235/85/16, perfect for trailers too

I'd certainly be interested if shipping is reasonable. Tape on a couple address labels on each tire and drop at UPS.

Upper Control arm and Ball joint question

I'm not a fan of the hammer and pickle fork. This Harbor Freight kit has all the tools for both the Gen 1 and Gen 2. Makes the job simple and somewhat safer. http://www.harborfreight.com/5-piece-front-end-service-tool-set-66686.html Not sure what the labor rate is in your area, but Dealers...

    Highway RPMs

30.6" (estimate new height) diameter tire, gear ratio calculator says for 4.626 rear gear at 65mph is 2410 RPM and at 70 mph 2597 RPM. Gages in these trucks are notoriously inaccurate. Assumes you have a V4AW2 wLockUp automatic.

    New member/95 Montero LS

The 3.0 is a good engine, although not as much horsepower as its larger cousins. It is much simpler and inexpensive to maintain.

    Would you buy it?

As a side note, I burned up a timing belt on my '92 last Friday (114k on the clock 34K since last change). 225 miles from my house. Tools were not the problem, its parts availability in the middle of nowhere. $600 tow bill later, truck is at my house - guess what I am doing on Saturday. 277K...

    Would you buy it?

277K - check front suspension parts. Budget $1000 for timing belt and related (dealer), $800 tires, $500 suspension & shocks (DIY), $300 brakes (DIY). I'd pass unless you can grab it for $500

    Needed Asap Manual Hubs GEN 2 / 2.5 ?? I have looked

Your '96 doesn't have auto hubs. All Gen 2 and forward have axle flanges. Manual Locking hubs reduce driveline wear. Stops the CV shafts from spinning all the time.

Gen 3 Timing belt brand & cam seals?

Most of the Mitsubishi OEM timing belts are made by these guys: Gates Unitta Asia Co, and the tensioners are most likely made by Koyo.
